Clear filters Very good
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches May 2024 Tried this as our normal campsite was waterlogged. £13 more expensive but did have a shop and café.

Lovely campsite
Medium Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Oct 2023 Really lovely campsite in close proximity to beautiful beaches and countryside. The woodland camping area was a really beautiful place to pitch our tent and we loved waking up amongst the trees. There were all sorts of people camped alongside us, all of whom were lovely - from families and experienced solo campers to people trying out their vans for the first time. Great atmosphere, super clean facilities- providing washing up liquid was a really nice touch!
It would have been nice if the Snack Shack were open when we visited but we managed without and understand why it was closed in October. We'll certainly be back and have made plans to bring friends too!

Quick break to make the most of the late heat wave
Large Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Oct 2023 Very happy with all basically and it suited our young family of 5 with a tent and campervan. Great location between Swanage and Corfe Castle.
The only downside was a persistent hum in the night from what I believe was some distant farm machinery. Great to hear the steam train chuffing in the distance!

Small Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Jul 2023 Very good campsite. The main campsite allows you to pitch anywhere so great for finding a shady area.
Unfortunately, a couple arrived on our last night and decided to converse rather loudly at 2am!

Woodland paradise
Large Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Jul 2023 I will of course come back to Burnbake! I especially liked the wooded area to pitch the tent, I hate the heat and the trees provided a calm and cooling atmosphere.
The facilities were optimal, the café had lovely burgers and the staff were very helpful. Only a 20 minute drive to lovely beaches. What else can you wish for?

Great place, we love it!
Large Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Jul 2023 A perfect mix between laidback and peaceful and good social interaction. Us Dutchies had lovely contact with other campers and staff. We will definitely come back.

Absolutely lovely
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2023 Absolutely lovely, quiet and convenient little campsite, especially if you want to get away and not have your kids on their phones all the time, because the phone signal is proper pants.

Stunning location
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Loved it. What an incredible location. Would thoroughly recommend camping here then walking to Studland and experiencing the amazing Heath. You'll need your walking boots and sense of adventure, but just a stunning landscape.

Campsite stay
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 We stayed at Burnbake on our last night in Dorset, the more we wondered around the site we found it a bit untidy. Our biggest disappointment was the cold showers. There was hot water at the basin and the wash up sink but not the shower. Also we felt the choice of pitch wasn't clear.

Unfortunately our pitches are not marked out and our guests love this less regimented approach to our campsite - we do however give good instruction at reception when you check-in where to go with a site map! I am sorry to hear the showers were cold this is not our normal, sometimes at peak shower times pressure can drop, please can you tell me which showers you were using and at what time?

Great location campsite
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 The campsite was easy to find from Corfe Castle. This was my first camp in 16 years, I decided to go back to basics for the one night. The facilities are more than adequate.
My only problem was the cleanliness of the showers and toilets - this was not to my standards. All be it I did use them early in the morning because at 4:15 am was woken by the snoring in the tent next door.
The guy who helped with the puncture on the neighbours van was fab and the reception staff were very polite with a quick check in. The dog was also fab (a Cockapoo). Hope to be back again!

We are sorry to hear the facilities were not up to your standard, they would have been checked at 10pm and then not again until 7:30am. So that might have been why you found them like you did.
I am pleased to hear you found staff helpful and met the manager dog Teddy, who is normally on hand to greet guests

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches May 2023 Big site with loads of space for groups. Overflow field has portaloos, but is fine if you don’t mind a short walk to the loos.

Brilliant camp site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 This campsite had everything we wanted. Not busy, pitches that back onto the forest. BBQ's, camp fires, music. Probably the best showers and toilets I have seen in a camp site that's not overly priced.
Shop and café were brilliant. We packed everything away on departure morning but could still have a coffee and a bacon bap. The only reason I scored it down is that all campsites are too pricey now but this one was one of the better ones.
The location is really nice and has lovely walks, but just too far away to walk the Jurassic coast without being out from 8am - 8pm. We walked to Knoll beach and really enjoyed it. We will 100% be going back.

Wonderful site, great facilities and a relaxed environment
Large Tent - Non Electric Woodland Grass Pitches Apr 2023 A lovely site tucked away in a quiet location that allows fires, is quiet and has well-maintained facilities. Great bar and snack shack. Facilities all modern, only potential improvement is to clean the shower block a little more often but we did visit after several days of rain.

We work hard to keep toilets and showers clean, but when it rains it becomes really hard being rural, glad you enjoyed the relaxed nature,

Great location, lovely campsite
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2022 Great family campsite in a really good location.
Facilities were good- well-stocked and reasonably-priced little shop with good opening hours, snack shack with great wood-fired pizza, breakfast baps etc. Clean toilets/shower block with warm water & handy port-a-loos, drinking water points all around the camp.
Helpful, friendly staff. Nice little touches like fire pits to borrow, ice packs to rent/swap back for frozen ones. Very clean and tidy, and spacious- great for families. There was lots of wildlife and the woods/forests to explore plus Studland, Poole, Sandbanks and Corfe all within an easy drive.
We'll be back next year :-)
