Lovely location, facilities clean and the waterfall amazing

Beautiful location, waterfall amazing and the facilities clean. Just a minor point, could do with a few litter bins on the walk paths as I noticed some irresponsible beings had left drinks cups etc in bushes etc, which was a shame. Also, maybe the site shop could stock a little more. I thought I saw when I was searching somewhere that it was listed as having a farm shop, and so we had not brought our fridge items with us, so that we could support the business and have fresh goods bought at site, so that was a little disappointing. We would definitely visit again.

Easter 2024

Very nice site, lovely having the lambs to watch. Was a bit wet, but didn't stop us having a great holiday.

Incredible place

This place is absolutely amazing! I really can't recommend enough - it's so picturesque and has this outstanding feel to it. The forest around the site is breath-taking. If you go up the hills, you'll be able to see the sea from the distance where the sun sets. The sheep are so cute, it was the highlight of our stay. We will definitely be going back, there's just so much to see around, all the little walks end up taking hours because of how vast the entire area is. The only minor downside is that the water in the sinks were cold and the shower unfortunately was a bit cold as well, and considering the weather at this time of the year (March) it could use being warmer, but overall it didn't effect the great experience that we had. The waterfalls are magnificent.

Camping with dog

Beautiful location, peace, tranquillity and lots to do around the site. Walking wise, great location for magnificent Harlech Beach. The site is clean, all amenities first class and a high standard.

Nothing short of marvellous

Wow! Just amazing facilities. Nothing short of marvellous. View was incredible. Not too far from the stream. Beautiful, calm, and peaceful camping site with the sound of birds chirping. I have never slept that well in a campsite. Facilities: Clean drinking water? Sorted. Shower? Sorted. Separate men/women toilet in pristine condition? Check. Hiking trails and waterfalls nearby? Check. World heritage site, Harlech Castle, 15 mins away? Check. Would recommend this site. Will be visiting soon.

Fishing holiday

Fantastic site nestling in Snowden National park, on the edge of Nantcol Waterfalls. Perfect spot for fishing, super friendly proprietors. Will definitely come back again.

Brilliant site

We just had an overnight stay to run our dogs on Barmouth beach. The campsite is a short drive away. What a beautiful site it is. I would think for families with kids, it is great. There is a safe river to play in. There are some easy walks around the area as well. It's a very clean and well looked after site. We will use it again I am sure.

Amazing, friendly staff, peaceful. Great facilities. Perfect place for a quiet weekend surrounded by nature.

Peaceful & amazing place

Probably one of the best campsites we have stayed at. The family who run the park were so friendly and nothing was too much. The rivers and waterfalls were incredible and a lovely, peaceful walk. Friday night the campsite was busy for this time of year but still so quiet and peaceful. And the campfire was fantastic! Definitely will visit again.

Two days away for a birthday together

Lovely charming site. Ideal for a base camp for walking. Had two nights, lovely clean showers and toilets. 50 pence for 5 minutes for showers. Looking forward to going back.

Amazing place

Staying at Nantcol Waterfalls was one of the best experiences of our life. The location is just perfect with breathtaking scenery (waterfall walks, river walk, lots of picnic areas). Facilities spotless - nice and clean. Me, my husband and our dog loved it. ❤️

Very nice place

An undeniably beautiful place. Very popular site but it did manage to be very quiet. Not totally happy paying extra for showers when you already paid £6 per night for hook-up. Also might be worth making it clear that the waterfalls/river are open to the public too and also that the drinking water is not from the mains (deep bore hole) and the site says you may want to boil it. We didn't boil it and had no problems at all but should it be mentioned? We booked for 3 nights with a view to extend by 1 more night, an option offered at booking. However, when we checked in, we were told "extending" was not possible as they were full. Fair enough if they've filled since - but email me and let me know. Overall a good stay on balance.

Site's response

We don't usually book up in September, however, due to the mini heatwave, our site booked up for the weekend during the week. As we are controlled by allocations set out by Authorities, we need to be within the law. As mentioned in previous reviews, the 50p shower allows only Camping clientele to use the facilities and also controls usage. It has been the same price since 2009 and will remain (cost of half a packet of crisps or one third of a can of Coke!) Electricity was £5 last year, and greedy energy companies demanded a 300% increase in April so hook up should be £15. We're not greedy so increased by a £1! We are very satisfied and grateful that on overall balance, it was a good stay!

Camper adventure

We liked this site so much that we decided to stay a second night. We loved the beautiful location by the river side, and spacious camping areas. There were wonderful views and a variety of walks accessible from this site. The facilities were excellent and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. Having the mobile pizza business on site was an added bonus and the pizzas were delicious. Would definitely recommend this site and would like to come again.

Such a great camping site, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and already planning on out next little stay here!!

Lovely relaxing site, with good clean facilities. Lovely stream running through the site, very relaxing. Site not too big or overcrowded.

Forest setting and good location to explore the Llyn

Lovely campsite nestled in the forest next to waterfalls. Close to the main coastal road to drive into the Llyn. Liked the fact that there was plenty of space to choose from to pitch and rules to keep loud music at bay.

Amazing stay, relaxing and serene

Such an amazing campsite and the location couldn't be more perfect. Situated directly next to the waterfall, which made sleeping so easy! The staff were friendly and the facilities were very clean!
