Beautiful and welcoming

Campsite was ideally situated, surrounded by beautiful walls and only a short drive away from cute towns. Staff were super friendly and outdid themselves with the service provided. They made me and my friend feel very welcome. Facilities are very modern and clean, no matter the time we went to use them. Small charge for the showers but we were happy to pay 50p with how lovely they were. I will return during summer when it's less cold and windy!!

Lovely clean and friendly camp site

We used this camp site for a quick overnight stay. We had a walk up to the water fall. Wow it's lovely! Runs right along the camp site. Picnic table all around for people to enjoy the sun ☀️ and the view of the water. Toilets are very clean and smell amazing 🤩. Will definitely be using this camp site again!

Can’t wait to go back

What a lovely place to stay. Had the pleasure of meeting the couple who run the site, they are both very friendly and accommodating of everyone. The site is extremely clean, it's also very calm and tranquil. The views from the mountains behind are breath taking, the waterfalls and the lake are wonderful, there is plenty to do there (nature walks, riverside walks and fishing, if you're a fishing fan). We didn't want to come home.

Fantastic site

We stayed for two nights in motorhome and had a great time, the walk alongside the river and waterfalls is a must. Site is spotlessly clean as is the toilet and shower block, stunning location with river running through site. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful, and really couldn't fault anything about our stay.

Loved the site and went for dip in the waterfalls. Great!!!!

Brill

Brill. Site was nice and quiet, after a couple with a very noisy dog was asked to leave after being asked a few times to quiet the dog down as it was disturbing all the other dogs and campers. Lovely walk around the waterfalls.

Totally gorgeous campsite

This was a beautiful campsite right next to a stunning trail up to the waterfalls. Great on site facilities, always very clean, and hiring the fire pit was very fun. Stunning little river flows right through the site and we saw a Heron wading around on the first night. The riverside walk is an absolute must, just so picturesque.

Beautiful site

Fabulous area with some spectacular scenery. Walk to the waterfall is a must do. Facilities on site are good and clean. Not sure what I'd have done if anything came up the track the other way as a lot of it is quite narrow with few passing points, but I didnt have that problem thankfully. All in all, it's a great site

Not really suitable for senior citizens

A few problems for me with this site. Firstly, the track gets busy and it's only wide enough for one car, with only a few passing places. Little can be done to change this. Secondly, the reception being in with the ice cream shop. After a days drive in the heat to get there, the last thing you want is to queue up with loads of people. I feel that it needs separating. There's no signal there at all. Wi-Fi can be bought, but in my opinion, this should be free with the cost of the pitches. Fabulous for kids and families but nothing to do but climb hills which might be too dangerous for senior citizens.

Picturesque

Lovely clean site but felt a bit secluded as too far to walk anywhere and no signal for TV at night. I had to purchase Wi-Fi, whereas I have been supplied free Wi-Fi elsewhere, but the site itself was picturesque. Also, 7 families who were all together were very noisy so my peaceful weekend was spoilt. It stated dogs should be kept on a lead at all times, as mine were, but they had 2 which roamed around.

Excellent campsite

Brilliant week at this campsite with our three year old daughter and dog. Facilities are lovely, clean and really well maintained. Washing and drying available too. Campsite itself had lots of nice flat pitches to choose from. The river and waterfalls were great for cooling off in. Easy to drive out to other places and explore the area too. Nice pub and shop in the local village nearby. Will definitely be visiting again, so much to do and see in the area.

Amazing campsite

A gorgeous location with very helpful and nice staff with a couple pubs, shops and cafe within a 40 min walk, and Snowdon within an hours drive. Great trip, wish we had stayed longer.

Overall a wonderful place to stay in

Wonderful place, great host. The nearby river is amazing. The facilities are good but not adequate especially on a busy season.

Good place to camp

Good place to camp. The facilities are good, shame you have to pay extra for the showers when the site tariff should cover it. If you can live without internet, tv, and radio you will be fine - if not, it's not the place for you.

Site's response

We're disappointed that Nantcol Waterfalls did not meet your expectations. We are naturally located in a valley, hence the presence of the Waterfalls, but its disadvantages does mean the lack of urban pleasures, like TV, mobile and partial radio signal. However, if you do have a satellite system (which apparently are quite cheap), you can enjoy an array of channels if that is your camping priority! Naturally, if we were positioned on top of a hill with all the signals of the world, we would not have a Waterfall! Again rural restriction does not gift us with fibre, however, as a site we have recently invested in a satellite internet system which is providing adequate internet for emails, Whatsapp, Facebook etc. In regards to shower cards, we introduced this system when we built our facilities 14 years ago and set a price of 50p. This has remained at the same price and will continue. Shower cards control the use of showers, no half an hour showers for one person! No need to constantly push buttons like some systems and only allows our camping clients to use the facilities. As Nantcol Waterfalls is open to the public, it is extremely important to have full control of our shower facilities for our clients only.

Beautiful campsite

Stunning campsite - very clean, lots of space, we really liked being able to choose our pitch, and the pizza van was a great touch 👌🏻 The only thing I would have liked to see was some sort of games/leisure hut or bar, but other than that I can’t fault it. Also the location was slightly more out of the way than desired but very worth it for the site itself.

Amazing campsite!!

Amazing stay at Nantcol!!! We had loads of space for our pitch and really felt like we were living in the wilderness next to the waterfall! Stunning trails to go on from the site as well! The staff were really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning - THANK YOU!!

Great stay

The only point I would make is to inform guests that there is no telephone signal or tv signal. I needed to make an emergency call on arrival but found out from another guest that there isn't any and that I would have to purchase internet, which I was unaware of. Apart from that, it was a wonderful stay, thank you.

Brilliant Site

What a site! Very clean, more than friendly staff, the toilets and shower blocks are immaculate, cannot fault this site at all, only issue was mobile phone signal but they do offer Wifi. I will be booking again, was a great location for me to meet friends and climb the local mountains. Well stocked little shop with wood and basic snacks, the ice cream was lovely.
