Enjoy time away from it all with your own private glamping space at Dartmoor Yurt Holidays, a secluded site in the Dartmoor National Park. There are two yurts, Lake Yurt and Sunshine Yurt, and each has all you need for a luxury glamping experience. On site is a beautiful bluebell carpeted woodland area, a lake, and a brook, for a real nature experience. It's also a great spot for walking and activity holidays.

About the site

Situated in a beautfiul location, this really is the ideal location to enjoy nature - with a touch of luxury. The yurts are nice and warm, as they come from Mongolia and are made of four layers of felt, cotton and canvas. Beautifully decorate with Moroccan lanterns, they are a perfect place to switch off and relax. Each yurt is completely private with its own private facilities and fire pit.

Each yurt has its own private rustic field kitchen, compost toilet, wood-fired shower and fire pit. Seasonal vegetables and free range organic eggs can be bought from the farm, so you can cook a delicious supper right by your yurt.

Things to do on site and in the Newton Abbot area

Situated in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, there are an abundance of activities available right on the doorstep. Walking trails, hiking routes, and cycling tracks are all close by.

There are several Tors within walking distance. The River Dart runs across the Moors, and there are natural pools for swimming - for brave people - and opportunities to kayak. There are many riding schools nearby.

Just down the road is the Tavistock Inn, one of the oldest pubs in England, dating back to 1413. Fifteen minutes drive away is Ashburton which has many shops, delis and cafes, and the trendy wellness hub of Totnes is a half an hour drive. In under 45 minutes you can be at the lively seaside town of Torquay, famous for its beach and surfing.
