About the site
Woodyhyde is a charming family-run campsite located on the Isle of Purbeck, offering breathtaking countryside views. Spread across 15 acres of open land, the site is spacious and never feels overcrowded, even during peak camping season. Guests can enjoy easy access to the Purbeck Hills and coastal paths, with footpaths leading directly from the campsite. For those seeking a more relaxed day, the beautiful award-winning beaches of Swanage and Studland are just a stone's throw away (15 minutes). The site welcomes tents, campervans, and motorhomes, with 160 unmarked pitches available across three fields with electric available too. Visitors can enjoy the sight of wild deer, pheasants, and birds roaming free in the fields, with one of the fields bordered by a steam train linking Corfe Castle and Swanage. Dogs are welcome in two of the three fields. Hardstanding pitches are also available for motorhomes and campervans. Those seeking a more luxurious outdoor experience can opt for the yurts or the Cozy Camper shepherd's hut. The large 5m yurts beautiful decorated, offering a full-size double bed and two single beds, complete with bedding for a comfortable night's sleep. You'll have access to private toilet facilities, and shared shower facilities are conveniently located nearby. There are no cooking facilities, but guests can bring small camping stoves or disposable barbecues. Each yurt has its own fire pit and picnic table, and bench to use. For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, the Cozy Camper shepherd's hut is the perfect choice. Featuring a real bed, a kitchenette with modern amenities, and an ensuite toilet, you'll have everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. While the site loves their furry friends, dogs are not allowed in the paddock or glamping options. Please note, the entrance to the campsite is under a stone railway bridge. The dimensions are 10.5ft (3.18m) high and 9ft (2.7m) wide. As it's made of stone, there are areas where the stones stick out, so larger vehicles should be aware.
The site is open for camping between March and October, yurts are available from 22nd May and 13th September. Stay from £24/night for 2 people (2-night minimum).
