About the site

This historic attraction is set in 25,000 acres of parkland with an 18th century hall, walled gardens, free roaming deer, cycling trails, a ropes course and more. There are also regular events to enjoy including park runs, craft sessions and more! Standard touring pitches are all grass and measure 11m x 10m and include space for either one caravan with an awning, a motorhome with an awning, a campervan with an awning, or a vehicle with a roof tent and one car only. Tents and trailer tents are not permitted on the touring campsite. These allow up to six guests, with a 16 amp electric hook up. For groups wanting to pitch together, the family and friends touring pitches are all grass and measure 22m x 10m and include space for two outfits in any combination. Outfits include a caravan with an awning, a motorhome with an awning, a campervan with an awning or a vehicle with a roof tent and a maximum of two cars. These allow up to 12 guests, with a 16 amp electric hook up too. The spacious tent pitches measure 9m x 9m and include space for a tent, trailer tent or vehicle with a roof tent and a car. These allow up to six guests. All pitches are allocated on arrival on a first-come, first-served basis. Or, if you want to pack light, leave the tent behind and opt for one of the beautifully decorated bell tents, sleeping up to four with a combination of double and single beds, bedding, fairy lights, lanterns and rugs and blankets to keep you cosy. The site is dog friendly, but not everyone will love your furry friend as much as you do. Please always keep them on a lead and respect your fellow campers. BBQ's are permitted though they must be raised off the grass.

Camping and touring is available from 14th August to 9th September while the bell tents are available for weekends from 15th August to 8th September.

VW-Type Campervan - Standard Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2025

This site is at a beautiful location in the grounds of Holkham Hall. One of the most special things about it is being there in the evenings, after the crowds of visitors have gone, and being able to walk or cycle around the vast grounds with very few people around, and see the herds of deer at closer quarters. It's also very dark at night so great for star watching. The campsite itself is in a quiet location and is well laid out with plenty of room for each pitch, plus there's an electric hook up for everyone. The stewards were all friendly and helpful. The only slight negative was the toilets. Although they were cleaned daily they quickly became messy and dirty, with water on the floor, soap all over the worktop and toilet roll running out. It would have been good to have more toilets, especially the gents, which only had 2 cubicles. The showers were lovely. I would stay there again.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches Aug 2025

Was a bit hesitant at first as I'd never tried a pop-up campsite, but this was excellent. Perfect location for the beach and local towns. The site itself was spread over a large area so didn't feel too crowded. Shower and toilet facilities were very good and cleaned thoroughly. Only slight niggle was that there are very few washing up areas, and only one sink in the men's toilet block. The much promoted evening food pop-ups were a bit hit and miss. Not a big problem, but better to manage expectations in advance so that guests can plan for meals. The Adnam's beer truck was consistent which went down well. Staff friendly and helpful, and lots going on over the estate. Would definitely go back.
