Clear filters Pleasant stay with brilliant facilities
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2024 The site itself was very good and very clean. The toilets/shower facilities are fantastic and kept spotless. Other sites charge you for using showers, these had no charge and were brilliant.
The site staff were helpful on arrival and even lent us an extension for our hook up.
The site store doesn't stock much and closes at 5pm so that meant a 25 minute drive into Aberystwyth to go to the shops.
Excellent site with great facilities. Only negative for me was the site shop wasn't great and location to nearest shop, which I was aware of when booking.

The site shop is really just a café and does unfortunately as you say, only sell the basic necessities. We recommend that you stock up with food and drinks before you arrive but there is a well stocked Premier Shop/Garage 3 miles down the road if a trip to Aberystwyth is a bit too far.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 We stayed just one night and really liked it here. Nice big pitch and the facilities were great - really clean and tidy.
Just next to Devils Bridge and Waterfall walk - perfect family walk on a nice day.
We'd stay here again if in the area.

First time visit
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2024 Very nice site, clean facilities and helpful friendly staff. Great to have the café on-site and with music entertainment.
Only downside was the large noisy party who didn't care much for the other guests.

We are so sorry your time with us was marred by noisy neighbours. We do have a warden who does a noise check around 10pm but unfortunately, sometimes noise levels rise again after the warden goes to bed!
Please do contact the warden on the camping field if you make a return visit and this happens again, we will ensure the noise levels are kept down.

Great facilities. Washing up area, microwave, laundry room, fridge and freezer. Lovely shower and toilet block.

Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 As soon as I got here I knew it was going to be fabulous. I increased my stay from 4 nights to 7 nights. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful.
As I am disabled they have put me close to the facilities. The warden came round to check I was ok and realigned my guy ropes for me. The weather is fantastic. I wish I could stay even longer.

Great site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 Excellent site, first class toilet and shower block. Really nice cafe/shop at the entrance. Devil's Bridge a short walk away. Also, hotel for drink and food, then just further on, a narrow gauge railway to Aberystwyth.

Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 Lovely site, very friendly and helpful staff. 5 minutes walk to Devils Bridge. Toilets and showers were always clean. Quiet after 10pm and a lovely café on site with good food.

Lovely, quaint, peaceful site Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2024 Nice, quiet site.
Nice location next to the devils bridge and close to a local pub that does nice food. Good for dog walking and small local train with cafe close by but not many footpaths around so walking on the roadside is necessary.Overall low key area but perfect if your looking for peace and quiet with relaxation time.
For me personally, I would need more facilities to book a longer stay, but that isn't to say that it wasn't enjoyable it's just personal preference. Still worth a visit for those looking for downtime.
Worth noting that it's a little up hill getting back to the site.
Nice staff and spotlessly clean showering and washing facilities these are 5 star for me with everything well maintained.

Just for reference there is phone signal if you are on the 3 or EE networks and we do have Wi-Fi so communication can be made with the outside world via WhatsApp if needed/wanted :)
Exceptional caravan and camping park
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jul 2024 We have just returned from a few days at Woodlands Caravan and Camping. Definitely the best site we have stayed at. The heated toilet and shower block is spotless and constantly kept clean by hardworking friendly staff. The hairdryers are a lovely addition and the heating was excellent. It was lovely to have such a nice daily shower. The undercover kitchen wash-up was lovely and kept exceptionally clean. We also liked all the art work and statues dotted around the site.
We visited the woodlands café at the entrance to the site. We had the all-day breakfast which was exceptional, so good we went back the following days, and very reasonably priced. Again spotlessly clean, lovely friendly staff and really good food. The cakes were also delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this site and would definitely recommend to tourers, campervans and campers.
Well positioned for Devils Bridge walks and to explore other regions in the area.
There is nothing that needs improving. Loved our time here, and will return.

Handy for Aberystwyth
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 Was a handy one night stopover after collecting student son and his belongings from Aberystwyth University, not far off the main route, but also well into the countryside. Facilities were good and clean, site was quiet and staff friendly and helpful.

Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2024 The facilities were some of the nicest I've seen and were cleaned meticulously and very regularly. My only gripe would be that the pitch wasn't level, which made sleeping a little difficult.

Hardstanding electric hook-up
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jun 2024 Beautiful campsite, well maintained with Wi-Fi, immaculate grounds, loads of scenic walks, play areas for kids, walking distance of hotel/pub, devils bridge walks, fantastic amenities. Microwave, washer, dryer, fridge freezer, iron etc provided. Shower and toilets top notch.
The only downside is that the shop only stocks basic food items and the nearest supermarket is in Aberystwyth, 12 miles away. Although, there is a petrol station 3 miles away, but that's being really picky!
Didn't want to leave site. Definitely staying again.

Ideal touring base
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2024 A well maintained site in a little sheltered 'bowl' surrounded by mountains, with immaculate shower and toilet block.
Only negatives are that showers are, I feel, 'dangerously hot', and could easily scald a child and as they are controlled with a push button, there is no thermal control. The washing up water however is at best, tepid, particularly at heavy use times of day.
The recycling facilities were excellent. The onsite shop is a gift shop and doesn't stock milk or bread, so you do have to be organised, but they do have a cafe on site which looked popular.
Having said that, we would return again if in the area.

Wet and windy weekend
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2024 A lovely small campsite set in a valley just outside Aberystwyth, Wales. It has the best heated facilities, a play area for children and is dog friendly.
Perfect site to stay with so much to do and visit locally, with both the sea or the mountains within easy reach.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches Mar 2024 We are seasoned campers and I have to say the facilities here were the cleanest we have ever used.
We originally booked non electric as there were no others available at the time of booking. However, on arrival, we were able to change to an electric pitch for night one, and a hardstanding was offered to us for night two.
The lady on reception was really helpful and accommodating.
Nearby walks from the campsite are lovely and the Devils Bridge waterfalls are beautiful.
Great location for a chilled weekend outdoors. Would definitely recommend.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2024 Fantastic site, clean and obviously well looked after.
Lovely shower and toilet block and great walks in the surroundings. The on site cafe/shop was a bonus. Even the power outage didn't spoil our stay.
