Me and my 9yr old daughter absolutely loved our stay on this campsite. Wonderful location, really friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful lake with canoeing & fishing included. Lots of varied tent pitches. Very clean, basic facilities, very warm showers. Good for watching the wildlife and adventures.
Excellent on site gastropub serving really tasty food. Would definitely return and recommend to friends, only negative would be the wedding reception on site playing really loud music until after 12, but what's a bit of outside noise - it's camping after all!!

Thanks for your fantastic review and we're so glad you & your daughter had a great time staying with us. We're really pleased you enjoyed the lake and watching the wildlife, and were pleased with the showers and Gastropod Cafe food - it is really delicious! All wedding reception music usually goes off promptly at midnight, so we're guessing that some naughty guests had some of their own music playing later... We're sorry if this happened and disturbed you. We'll look forward to seeing you again!
