Postern Hill is a back to basics campsite offering 120 spacious grass pitches set in the idyllic Savernake Forest. Pitches are suitable for tents and touring units, with or without electric hook up. Family and dogs are welcome, with many walking and cycling trails from site. Marlborough is just a 20 minute walk away with shopping and eateries, with Stonehenge within a 35 minute drive too. This campsite is a true back to nature experience!

Really enjoyed our brief visit. This lovely site is within easy walking distance of Marlborough and immediately next to the beautiful Savernake Forest. We plan to go back and stay longer. Only downside is the lack of showers.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2024

We had a lovely time. The place is huge so despite being half-term, we had enough space for a peaceful stay. Right in the Savernake Forest, you can start your hike or cycling tour straight away, which is lovely. The town with shops and pubs is just 20 minutes away on foot, so that is very convenient. We missed the fact the campsite gate is closed overnight, but despite that, one of the staff opened it for us at 6:30AM so kudos for that, and sorry again for waking you up ;) Will visit again.

A peaceful, beautiful site. Very friendly staff. Plenty of information about the ancient woodland and surrounding area. Toilets were clean. We enjoyed our stay.
