The name Trwyn yr Wylfa means 'watching point' - and the site is exactly what the name suggests! Set on ten acres of land surrounded by glorious sea and mountain views, it is a stunning spot for a relaxing getaway. Campers and tourers are welcome on grass and hardstanding pitches with the option of electric. Just a 15 minute walk from the beach and within Snowdonia National Park, it's the perfect base for exploring North Wales.

Friendly welcome, clean site. Clear rules. Lots of takeaway options, 15 min walk to a few shops, co-op antique shops, book shops and a museum. Beach is about a five minute walk from the shops, so twenty minutes from site. Good beach with toilets and a cafƩ shop. We misplaced an important item and the staff were really helpful and checked in on seeing us later in the day. The views are amazing, lots of walks! Facilities I used were all of good standard and clean. Geat showers, great drinking water and several outdoor sinks for washing up. There's also a washer/dryer, hairdryer, charging lockers and freezers, dog washing facilities and places to tie your dogs while using facilities. You will need change to use some of these things. Only mild inconveniences were the noise from the road, but we expected this might be the case and with ear plugs, it's fine. I'd also recommend if you're in a tent, to make sure you've got a thick ground sheet.
Amazing views and friendly site

Had a lovely stay, only two little bits that I feel could have been better. Toilets maybe up the top of the field, I stayed on pitch 42. Also campervans only on the flat pitches? Apart from that the warden helped us with little ramps to straighten us out. Lovely and clean, lovely owners, lovely place. Thank you š
Very good site

This was a first camping trip for my 10year old granddaughter, I couldn't have picked a better place. Although the pitches are not 100% level, the actual site made up for that with stunning views. The facilities are clean, as is the whole site with lovely hot showers. The owner is very welcoming. The beach is a 15 minute walk, but for this, who aren't very good a walking, I would recommend taking a drive down. I found it very difficult on the way back as some very steep inclines, and I had to stop and rest a fair few times. Overall, I would definitely recommend the site and myself and my granddaughter will be visiting again.

Wow! The view alone, wow. What a place! We stayed here 2 adults and 3 kids and it was the best stay we have had so far! This site has everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. The showers and toilets were better than what we have seen in hotels! The family rooms were a huge hit for us, super impressed. We saw them being cleaned every day! Charging phones, kettle, washing machine and dryer, freezers, indoor and outdoor cleaning areas, dog cleaning areas, you name it, they had it! We were greeted by who I believe were the owners. Explained exactly where to go, what to do. Handed a very detailed map with directions to the beach, shops, numbers we may need during our stay. When we got to the pitch we chose, we had trouble getting up the grass covered slight hill. Ended up getting stuck, everyone came out and helped push the car back to the stone path, went back to reception and the gentleman (sorry didn't catch your name) didn't hesitate to come and help show me how to park outside our pitch! Thankyou!! We chose a pitch next to trees and stones which the kids absolutely loved! There was a spar about 20 min walk for us with littles, but probably about 10 mins if walking at normal pace. Beach, again probably about 10 min walk. There is plenty of leaflets for takeaways, restaurants, days out etc. We ordered a takeaway, reception helped guide them to where we were staying so even got it delivered to our tent which was lovely! (We were waiting for the call to walk down) The only 'issues' we had, which is not the parks fault at all, is that the toilets/showers were quite far away from us, so definitely need something for inside the tent if you have little people who can't hold it for the 5 min walk. How could this site improve? Honestly I don't see much if any improvement at all. It's a stunning place in a stunning area. Perhaps some sort of outdoor play area for the kids - there was a perfect area for one. But the pitch we chose with the rocks was enough play for ours 3, even the baby was trying to climb! Brilliant. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. Will 100% be back soon and already told family and friends who will be booking too! Can't wait to be back!

Non-electric pitch. Views are amazing. Family/accessibility showers and toilets are an added bonus. Very quiet. Other campers were always considerate. Great for dog owners. 10 min walk to shops. 15 min to beach. Very close drive to Conwy and Llandudno. Fantastic stay.

Spent 6 nights in an electric hook up site SP2. The electric hook up sites are obviously pre allocated and being August, the site was busy. Our pitch was in a dip at the bottom of the hill at the entrance to the field. There was no sea view, unless you stood up to peer over the road and hedge when you could see a glimpse of sea. The pitch would be ideal for someone who wanted to be near the toilet block but be warned, the bins are directly behind this pitch, so you can hear people throwing their recycled bottles into the bins at all hours, as well as cars and people going past into the field. Dogs were being walked behind the pitch into the dog walking field. When we gave feedback to the owner halfway into our stay and request some money back for the pitch, which was priced the same as the rest of the lovely quiet pitches with sea views, she was defensive and rude refusing to listen to our feedback and telling me I'd left it too late to complain. On a positive note, the toilets are clean and the wardens were friendly and helpful. Overall, disappointing and overpriced for the pitch we were allocated. I would suggest that if you would like fantastic sea views, you may need to contact in advance to request this.
Site's response
After staying on site for few nights, you contacted us wanting to move to a different pitch and shared your complaint with us. You asked to move onto a pitch that became vacant, explaining you were not happy with your pitch. When we looked to the alternative pitch which you had seen vacant, it was only available for 1 night, as we had guests that had requested 2 pitches together. I explained that unfortunately, the pitch was only available for 1 night due to this situation and you were welcome to move onto it, but it would be for 1 night. You explained that you were not happy with the pitch and wanted money off. I explained that it was a shame you hadn't mentioned this when you arrived or before staying for several nights. You were then offered two alternative pitches - an electric pitch, or if you would have preferred, a non electric and to choose your own pitch. Although 2 options were given, you were still looking for money off. I explained this isn't how we operate and suggested that if you were not happy with the pitch and the alternative pitches given, that you could find a more suitable site and we could refund the remainder of your stay, as we had a list of guests wanting to come on site so knew we could resell. You said you would consider the options. However, we didn't hear back and you decided to stay on site.

The location is stunning. We had the mountain backdrop behind us (which we climbed) and a sea view in front of us. The location was great for us, we travelled to somewhere new every day. The facilities were great, clean. Loads of showers and I particularly liked the spacious family showers so I could be with my children for showers, in the past we have been cramped in a cubicle but not here. It's really quiet and peaceful. We loved it so much.

We stayed for 5 nights. The site is beautiful and well looked after, facilities very clean and also well looked after. 3 nights were great as the weather was really nice, but 2 nights the wind was horrendous and struggled to keep the tent only because of how open it was with no protection. But the scenery is spectacular and it really is a lovely site, just got caught out by the weather.
Perfect views!

A little disappointed with the pitch, muddy and not suitable for separate awning/gazebo due to the ground being on a slope. Staff were very helpful and offered us a spare ground sheet to cover the wet, muddy ground that we gladly accepted. Very clean campsite with stunning views!

Had an amazing time on this beautiful site. Very clean and great views. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and will definitely go back š Great facilities for showering, washing etc and close to a small town. It was easy to get to beaches etc - would definitely recommend. No need to buy food as there is a Spar and Co-op in the town, which is handy. It was all very clean. Only thing I would say is I would have preferred more tents nearby instead of caravans and tourers. However, my location was perfect šš¾ thank you so much!

Had an amazing stay at the site this July. The views are incredible, front sea and back mountain. It's a really special spot which would be 100% perfect if the pitches were flatter. Every camper knows that even a gentle slope is a sleep issue, especially with kids. That being said, we had an awesome time and would recommend on location alone. Even if it did rain and blow a gale every night!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the owner, who gave us a map and showed us where to pitch up, he was very friendly and polite. The views are unreal from the top field. It is slightly sloped but nothing major (where we was anyway). The sheep are a little loud, but that didn't bother us! The walk back from the bathroom/facilities is quite a push, but nevertheless for the view, it was worth it! The facilities are extremely clean, never had an issue queuing for the bathroom/shower. The showers were lovely and hot. Communal kitchen, added bonus to keep food/refreeze ice packs. Would definitely recommend and if I was to ever visit Conwy again, I would have no doubts whatsoever in rebooking this site. My only slight criticism (which isn't the site's fault at all) is at the top field it can get very windy at night, but unfortunately that is just nature and can not be helped.

Lovely place to stay. The facilities are so clean and the location is perfect. Pitches are so spread out meaning you can't really hear anyone else, it's so quiet and tranquil with such a lovely view of the sea. The town is within a short walk with a few places to eat and drink. The beach is lovely and quiet. Would absolutely recommend.

Spent a lovely 5 days at this site. Great spaced pitch with amazing sea views. Very peaceful. Very clean facilities and though no site shop, local amenities very close by. Staff on site were very friendly. Site was perfect location for us to explore some fabulous areas. First time staying in North Wales, will defo return to spend more time exploring the beautiful countryside and beaches. Would defo recommend this site.
