About the site

A spacious, pretty, family friendly site set deep in the heart of the Forest of Dean, ideal for a tranquil getaway in the great outdoors and perfectly located for exploring the Wye Valley. Relax on your pitch as deer roam around the site freely, and enjoy peaceful woodland, and dark sky views. There are spacious pitches for tents, roof tents or tent boxes, micro-campers, caravans, motorhomes, RV's and campervans on grass or hardstanding pitches with electric. Or go back to basics on a grass only pitch, with all pitches suitable for all units measuring 8m x 5m. If your unit is longer than 9 meters, wider then 5 meters, or a conversion of any kind, please check if the site can accommodate you. The site also benefits from a semi private, hedged rally field area, ideal for school or family groups and rallies, close to facilities and available for exclusive hire. There is also the option of summer and winter seasonal pitches. Not a camper? The site also offer pet friendly glamping options open all year, with five deluxe ensuite pods sleeping five, five cosy camping pods sleeping four, and five family safari tents sleeping six, available during the summer months. You will need to bring your own bedding and camping essentials for all glamping options. During the summer months and school holidays, there is a range of onsite activities, great for all the family. These include onsite catering vans, a ping pong table for those impromptu family competitions, and easy access to a wide variety of forest walks and cycling trails in the Forest of Dean. There are also exclusive discounts for campers on many other local attractions, including Go Ape. Sorry, campfires burning wood are not allowed. Charcoal, gas, bio-fuel or eco log burners are permitted as long as they are raised off the ground and extinguished by 10pm. Your dogs are welcome to camp for free, so why not "paws and unwind". A maximum of three dogs per camping pitch are welcome, and a maximum of two are allowed in the pet friendly glamping units, for an additional fee.

Bracelands Campsite is open all year round. Pitches from £16/night for 2 people.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesJan 2026

Fantastic long weekend in January - weather was kind to us. Lovely spot in the forest for wild deer, wild boar and stargazing. It was relaxing. Site was amazing location in heart of Forest of Dean - herd of deer literally on the campsite - wow. Some great walks with the dogs in the forest and cycled to Symonds Yat through the forest - trails were great and easy to follow - local pubs and restaurants recommended by the staff at the site were great. Would defo go back and would highly recommend.
