About the site

This family-friendly campsite makes for an ideal countryside escape in the Test Valley. Just ten minutes from Andover and the A303, the site is well located for walking and cycling. National Cycle Route 246 runs past the entrance and there are many charming walks in easy reach. The site is set in an 11-acre wildflower meadow, with large pitches scattered throughout and surrounded by farmland, woods and a vineyard. There is no light pollution, so it is a great spot for stargazing! For tents and campervans, there are a 50 non-electric grass pitches. Up to five people are permitted per pitch, with the option to bring an awning, gazebo and pup tent for your stay too. The site does not allocate pitches and all are very spacious, so you will always be able to pitch close to your friends. There are fire pits around the site where guests can gather around a campfire to sizzle sausages and discuss the day's adventures. If you want to bring along your own BBQ, you are more than welcome (just please ensure it is raised from the ground). The site can supply logs and kindling. Please note, this area is subject to fire bans due to the risk of wildfires. The site is dog-friendly, allowing up to two canine companions per pitch. Nearby attractions include the Hawk Conservancy, Ironsight laser tag and activity centre, Black Chalk Vineyard and Winery, Mottisfont Abbey and The Army Flying Museum at Wallop. There is fantastic walking on Stockbridge Down, West Down and Chilbolton Cow Common. There genuinely is something to please everyone here!

A note from the site themselves...

We set up Rowbury Farm Camping in 2018 to allow people to connect more with nature. On the farm, we are passionate about protecting the environment and about wildlife. More than 10% of our arable land is dedicated to wildflowers, pollen and nectar margins and winter birdseed plots.

We let our hedges grow big and bushy to provide habitat and food for birds and small mammals. We enjoy talking to people about our environmental work and taking school children around the farm

We are committed to having a low impact on our environment. We encourage recycling and all our waste is sorted at the depot with recyclable items being removed. Our water comes from a private borehole on the farm, which is UV-treated, so is untainted by chemicals.

We love the fact that people come here to chill out, play games, gather round campfires and watch the sun go down. We hope to see you all very soon, Will

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Fantastic! Shame we couldn't have a fire pit as the wheat was still not harvested and the risk of fire too high but apart from that, it was peaceful and perfect.
