Maker Camping is on the Rame Peninsula, set on the land of a former military site. Choose from a range of almost wild pitches, some amongst the former World War II Battery. Home to a community of creatives, you will find an onsite gallery and art studios. For food and drink, there is The Canteen Cafe, and El Pipenillos serves tacos, burritos, nacho bowls and burgers from their wagon on the campsite. The beach is also a 20 minute walk away!

About the site
The site enjoys amazing views of Whitsand Bay and the coast, with inland views towards Dartmoor and Bodmin. You can explore the gallery showcasing local artists, with a sauna and cold plunge for unwinding. The campsite is thoughtfully designed with respect for nature in mind. Campers can choose from a range of areas, with Bunker being located amongst the 2nd World War gun emplacements, which are listed as a Scheduled Monument. These pitches are car free and for tents only. All of the other pitches allow tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans with up to six guests. Pitches vary in proximity to the facilities and entertainment venues, so simply choose an area that best suits your needs! For food and drink, there is The Canteen that offers a delicious breakfast and lunch menu using local produce. El Pipenillos serve tacos, burritos, nacho bowls and burgers from their wagon on the campsite. The Garrison Gallery showcases local artists, with a cocktail bar open on Fridays and Saturdays. There are regular fundraisers and music nights, a great place to unwind in the evening. Communal fire pits are supplied for toasting marshmallows. Guests are welcome to cook up a BBQ, just please ensure it is raised from the ground. Do note, disposable BBQs are not permitted. Dogs can join you for your stay, with up to four permitted per pitch.

Guests are able to check-in from 1pm until 7pm, if you are going to be delayed please let the site know. Check out is due before 11am on your final day.

Of course! The site welcomes up to four dogs per pitch, just ensure that they are kept on a lead and supervised at all times.
Does Maker Camping allow BBQs and campfires?
Open fires are only permitted in the communal fire pits and bowls provided, BBQs must also be raised off the ground. Please note that disposable BBQs are not permitted onsite.
