About the site
An ideal base for exploring Colchester and the Essex coastline. This family friendly glamping site is situated a 15 minute walk from the shores of Mersea Island, within a 45 minute drive of the popular seaside destinations of Clacton-on-Sea and Brightlingsea. Ideal for couples, the Saltmarsh and Samphire shepherd's hut sleeps two in a double bed, kitted out with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Inside you will find a fully equipped kitchenette, along with an ensuite shower room, a breakfast bar and stools, plus a radiator and wood-burning stove for keeping toasty. For those holidaying as a family, the site offers two luxury safari tents that can accommodate up to six. Each tent comes fully furnished with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a double cabin bed. You will have a spacious living area with a kitchen, along with a shower room and loo, underfloor heating and a covered veranda. For evenings in the outdoors, all of the glamping units have an outdoor dining/seating area with a fire pit for toasting marshmallows. All guests will also have access to WiFi. Four-legged friends can also join in on the fun as the shepherd's hut and Rowan safari tent are dog friendly.
