Clear filters Amazing and perfect!
Jun 2023 Wonderful, just wonderful! Beautiful, 360° views, large pitch, super well organised, lovely toilets, and shower facilities, wonderfully helpful and lovely hosts. This is now our favourite campsite!
It was brilliant not to be crammed in but to have our own large pitch for the children to run around and play football. The shop is stocked with goods that you may find you need and is reasonably priced. The home-made pizzas on offer absolutely delicious and super value for money. It's lovely to see the animals which consist of horses, goats, chickens, etc.
Wonderful walks on the doorstep where you can explore hidden gems, and also see nature at its best. We saw cows, sheep, lambs, red squirrels, birds of prey, hares etc. It was really good to be Internet and phone free for a while! For those who really need it…. You won't have to travel too far to login. My son has a nut allergy and both Jo and Marc were absolutely wonderful checking ingredients for the pizzas, and being on hand at any time, if we did experience an emergency. Cannot recommend this site enough. Nothing is too much trouble.
I did read one bad review before I wrote this and can honestly say that I think the person who wrote that review was talking about somewhere completely different. Sometimes the little things make a big impact, which they have done, such as having washing up liquid at the sinks and a hairdryer in the shower room. This has made things just a little bit more stress free and comfortable.
This is a very quiet site (as in noise levels are low) and even at full capacity would not be overcrowded at all and still super pleasant to stay there. The site is blessed with beautiful countryside and also dark skies which are super stunning. The shop also sells firewood and marshmallows for the campfires that are on every pitch. We will definitely be back in the very near future! This will definitely be a regular haunt for us.
Best quiet place to be found in the area
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Jun 2023 Good contact with the owners, felt looked after. Clean and friendly environment , whether spending time on the pitch or to go and look around. Lots to see about and this was also the perfect place to start daily trips to other attractions - most in 20 a mile range.
Four nights was like a beginning and it went so fast. Definitely to go back again. Many thanks to the owners Marc and Jo. A&K.
Lovely site in the Dales
May 2023 Fab stay over the bank holiday weekend at Stablefell.
This is a lovely site, well kept and well run by Marc and Jo, who work hard to make you feel welcome and provide an excellent service.
Pitches are a good size, meaning the site doesn't feel overwhelmed even when fully booked. The location is very scenic, tucked away in a quiet corner of the Dales. There is even on-site catering with home made pizzas, which are delicious!
Will definitely return.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 Lovely quiet campsite in idyllic setting. No need to venture far, as pizza is available on site. Friendly owners. Fell in love with a dark-haired friendly chicken on site. Amazing pub called The Kings Head 10 min drive. Beautiful trip.
Amazing site and facilities
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches May 2023 This site is amazing! The shower block is so clean and feels like you are walking into a hotel bathroom. Pitches are large so you have privacy. The views are 360 and absolutely spectacular. We would highly recommend this site to get away from the hustle and bustle and have some chill time, Jo was so lovely and helpful.

Had to book for two nights
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 The campsite is great (I have stayed there previously), however, despite contacting the owners prior to my stay to ask why, I still do not understand why I had to book for two nights (Friday and Saturday) when I only wanted to stay for one night (Friday). It was not the holiday season/school holidays, the campsite was almost empty and I only have a very small two-man tent.

Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Sep 2022 Parking right next to field (hardstanding for motorbikes) nice stone, free flat field and lovely views. Individual fire area, big pitches and spotless bathroom. Very nice owners, local town approx 4 miles has everything and very nice to walk around. No phone signal or WiFi (good for me).Loved it.
Brilliant time
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 We had a brilliant stay, was a shame we were only there for 1 night, but we will certainly be back soon. Great campsite in lovely scenery in a nice quiet area of the dales, made better by the peace by the campfire when it got dark.

Small Tent - Large Non-Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Fantastic stay in every way. Pizzas were delicious and a real welcome treat. Totally recommend the coffee and croissants in the morning. Lovely clean facilities and the best campsite hairdryer I've come across. The owners were extremely friendly. Couldn't have been better.

Just what I wanted
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Wonderful site, hidden away with beautiful views. Clean and tidy with plenty of space. The owner was friendly and happy to help.
As a wild swimmer, it was great having Semerwater just along the road and I found many lovely waterfalls nearby.
As my direction is poor and with no mobile internet to use my phone's satnav, Jo was happy to direct me in which direction to head in before my internet returned a couple of miles off site.

Great location
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches Aug 2022 Great location, friendly owners and generous level pitches. Showers and toilets were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed watching the swallows swooping and diving and listening to the owls at night. The pizzas were delicious. Would come back again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site to others.
