About the site

This five-star holiday park, has been family owned since 1972. Nestled in the Cornish countryside, just five minutes outside of Newquay, within easy access of seven golden sand beaches. All guests are given entertainment passes which offer access to the incredible onsite facilities including the Oasis Fun Pools complex with flumes and splash zones, an outdoor pool, eateries, entertainment, and plenty of entertainment for the kids, this fun packed park is the perfect all immersive destination for you and your family. There are 12 fields containing spacious touring and camping pitches, well laid out with roads, lighting and water points, all designed with you in mind. Spread over 50 acres of holiday park and 80 acres of landscaped parkland, there are scenic views of the countryside all around. The camping and touring facilities offer a huge variety of pitches, spread across 80 acres of landscaped parkland. You'll find pitches with open countryside views, as well as more sheltered options and spots closer to the action. There are also car free, family-friendly fields, as well as the Elm premium touring field which offers fully serviced grass and hardstanding pitches. The site has previously won an incredible range of awards, including Visit England Bronze Award winners in the Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year category. Hendra also went through to the Visit England finals after winning Gold at the South West Tourism's Holiday Park of the Year. Other awards include Visit England Gold 5 Star 'exceptional' quality grading and the new AA Platinum 'elite park' 5 Pennant rating, bronze for sustainable tourism at the South West Tourism Awards, a Hoseasons Diamond Award and Platinum Loo of the Year. There are also a range of holiday homes and lodges available as well as large serviced grass pitches in the summer. However you're looking to holiday, you'll find something suitable here! Dogs are welcome at Hendra in designated areas too (though some breeds are not accepted).

Site facilities include award-winning loos, showers, a laundrette, a shop open daily and free WiFi in certain communal areas, with WiFi at your pitch for an extra cost. For food, there is The Terrace Bar and Restaurant, The Beach House Bar and Pizzeria, fish and chip takeaway and an ice cream shop. There's also The Deck Bar and The Venue for evening entertainment, open seasonally.

Entertainment passes are given to guests with each booking, including access to the outdoor pool, evening entertainment, onsite activities and the soft play area. There is an indoor pool with river rapids, three log flumes and a toddler's pool. Outside is a heated swimming pool open during peak times for a small fee of £4.35 per person. There is even a crazy golf course!

Live entertainment is available during peak times. Indoor amusements include an arcade, soft play and kid's classes including arts and crafts. Outside are multiple play parks, a skate park, outdoor gym, sports field and a land train running daily. For an extra cost, guests can enjoy Hendra Mini 4x4's, Sea Scooters and Segways. Please note that availability and opening times for these may vary, depending on when you stay.

Great for beach holidays

Within easy reach of Newquay's best sandy beaches. The famous Fistral beach is less than a 15 minute drive away, a must for keen surfers.

Great for families

Kids can splash in the pools, burn off some energy in the play areas or enjoy the live entertainment. One thing's for sure, you won't hear "I'm bored" here!

Hendra has something for everyone, to entertain all ages. One of the most special things about Hendra is that it has been run by the same family for over 50 years and is now run by the third generation. Many of our guests came to Hendra when they were children and now are bringing their own children or grandchildren! It is lovely to read and hear about our guests memories of Hendra.

Hendra cares about being a sustainable business, so we can keep providing memorable family holidays for generations to come. We have renewable energy sources on the park, as well as providing a great environment for the local wildlife. Our grounds are often praised by guests, with our beautiful groomed gardens, wildflowers, shrubs, trees and expansive green areas.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2025

Dog mess everywhere allowing dogs to roam free, walking in areas that are non dog pitches and owners that don't pick up. Camp shop that doesn't allow you to hire feezer packs unless you give them yours! Food was ok, expensive and average at best.

Sorry to read this. Dogs are always encouraged to stay on leads, apart from in the designated dog-walking area. We don't usually have problems with our pet owners adhering to this and do not have any similar complaints. Usually everyone who brings a pet does pick up after their dog. It is not the usual Hendra experience, and we are sad that you didn't have a better time.

Site rules

Hendra welcome camping and touring guests with pets into their Pine, Tamarisk, Fairway, Acorn and Chestnut fields, allowing up to two dogs per booking. Pets are not allowed in pods. Dogs must be kept on leads while on the park and, as a family park, breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted. Pets are not allowed into entertainment venues, restaurants (other than outside at the Terrace Restaurant) or the swimming pool complex. however, there is a dog walking area on site. Off site, there are plenty of dog friendly beaches, pubs and visitor attractions nearby.
Check-in is available between noon and 8pm at Hendra Holiday Park. Departure is due before 10am on your last day. If you are going to be arriving after 8pm, please let the the site know. Only arrivals before 9pm will be allowed to pitch, if you arrive after this time, you will need to go to the car park area or holding field until reception opens the following day.
Yes, BBQs are welcome at Hendra Holiday Park as long as they are raised above the ground. Fire pits are also welcome, just be sure to keep them raised, under 0.5m wide, at least 3m from tents or structures and out by 11pm. Please also never leave the fire unattended, only burn wood or charcoal and dispose of cooled ash in the metal bins.

Yes, Hendra Holiday Park operates a quiet policy after 10pm.
You are able to arrive at Hendra Holiday Park from 8am on your arrival day to collect your membership and pool passes and you are able to use the facilities onsite until your pitch or pod is ready from midday. Check out is 10am but you are welcome to use the facilities until 2pm on the day of your departure.

Yes, in most cases, one vehicle can be parked next to your pitch. There are some cases where this isn't possible so you will be able to park in one of the car parks around the site. Please make a note when making your booking that you'll be bringing a car so the site are aware.

Facilities

The indoor Oasis Fun Pools at Hendra Holiday Park are one of the park's highlights. Open from late March each year, there are two fantastic pools (indoor and outdoor) as well as a rapid river ride, three flumes, a gentle fun slide, water cannon and more. The outdoor complex is free of charge for all holiday park guests with entertainment passes, while a charge of £4.35 per session applies to the indoor pool. If you plan to use the pool a lot, you can save money by purchasing blocks of passes in advance. The outdoor pool is open from May until September and heated between the spring bank holiday and August bank holiday. Height restrictions apply to some rides and flumes.
