VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Nice spacious site & liked how the facilities were in the middle of the site. Good size rooms to shower with sink & toilet. Could have been a bit cleaner .
We used the taxi service to get into York which was great service. Monks cross close by & we did see a bus stop but we dishy use it. There is also a park and ride not far away.

Did not fully meet our needs for for motorhome Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 We prefer to use public transport to travel once onsite, but the nearest bus stop was close but the bus once every two hours. The other stop is a 15-20mins walk.
The access road from the roundabout was difficult to locate as the traffic was heavy and it's only a minor road, so easily missed. One shower room was out of use and the others were a little dirty at times, which is probably partly the fault of other campers who did not mop up after themselves.
Friendly welcome and staff, and plenty of space on the pitches which are fully serviced. We prefer to recycle when we can but could only see black skips for general waste so everything had to go to landfill. Granddaughter a little disappointed with what is available on the children's park area and the connect four game had pieces missing so we couldn't play.
Overall, reasonable facilities and level pitches.

We are sorry that you were not aware of our location before booking your stay with us. Unfortunately, the nearest bus stop only has a bus, as you say, every 2 hours although the other bus stop, a little further away, does have busses that run every half hour.
We do have an arrangement with a local taxi firm whereby they offer us 10% discount which I am sure will have been mentioned to you as well. We acknowledge that 1 of the shower rooms was out of use during your stay and can only apologise for this, parts were on order and this is now back working.
The children's park area is normally enjoyed by children albeit, it is only small so again can only apologies if your Granddaughter was disappointed. Unfortunately, the missing counters for the connect 4 have been taken from the site by persons unknown so can only apologise that it was not useable for you whilst on site. It has been removed now as we have not been able to retrieve the missing counters, which does spoil things for everyone and we are also very disappointed about this.
Very Friendly & Quiet Campsite
Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Aug 2026 Very friendly staff! Plenty of showers and toilets. Perfect set up for water and electric on your pitch. Park for the kids as well which is a bonus! And only a 7 minute drive to park and ride to take you in to York

Oasis in the country side
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Jul 2026 We are a Couple from Australia and all though we do a lot of camping at home are new to UK camping.We had a great time at the camping grounds and enjoyed the facilities very much. Found them very clean and very well maintained by friendly staff.would highly recommend a stay
