About the site


A peaceful, family friendly site on the edge of the Peak District National Park, offering scenic views of the Pennines and a relaxing countryside stay. Discover nearby woodland walks, hiking and cycling routes, including the Saddleworth Moors just ten minutes away, and spot friendly farm animals onsite. This spacious site provides a mix of 20 non electric and 20 electric grass pitches for tents, roof and trailer tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes, along with five electric hardstanding pitches ideal for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Electric hook ups are 16 amps. Pick up local meats, vegetables and produce at the handy onsite farm shop, or enjoy a bite and a pint at The Royal George, just a five minute walk away. It's an ideal base for exploring the rest of the Peak District (10 minutes), Oldham (20 minutes), and Manchester, with the city centre only 40 minutes away. Dogs are welcome too, but must be kept on a short lead or tether. Sorry, open fires are prohibited on this site.

There are plenty of pubs within walking distance surrounding the site, including The Royal George (5 minutes), the Dysarts Arms (10 minutes), Tollemache Arms (10 minutes), and Roaches Lock Inn Mossley Ltd (15 minutes). You will also find an onsite farm shop selling essentials and a Tesco Superstore a five minute drive away.

Yes, dogs are more than welcome onsite with up to two permitted per pitch, free of charge! Sorry, breeds and crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act are not permitted. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and not left unattended.

Yes, visitors are permitted by prior arrangement and at the management's discretion. Visitors must sign in and leave their vehicle registration number and payment at reception. Visitor vehicles must be parked in the car park. Visitor hours are between 10am and 8pm.
