About the site

Family and dog friendly glamping set on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this secluded site is lovely for completely switching off and relaxing. The pods sleep a maximum of four people in a double bed and double sofa bed. The lodges sleep up to four people (maximum four adults) in two double sofa beds and one single bed. All beds have comfy memory foam mattresses. Bedding and towels are all provided. The pods are equipped with heating, a double bed and a double bed with memory foam mattresses, sleeping up to four. There is an ensuite and a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and hot plate. Outside is a private patio with a fire pit, seating and a covered hot tub. Each unit has its own ensuite with a shower, toilet, heated towel rail and sink. There is a small but well-equipped kitchen fitted with a two plate electric hot plate hob, a toaster, microwave, kettle, small fridge, crockery and cooking utensils as well as a dining table with four chairs. You'll also a small TV with a DVD player. Outside, you'll have your own paved patio space with a picnic bench, deluxe fire pit/BBQ, table and chairs and a wood fired optional hot tub. Sit back and enjoy the stars, discover the iconic Lake Windermere for a spot of paddle boarding (50 minutes) or hike England's highest peak Scafell Pike and enjoy the views (an hour). Dogs are allowed in each unit for an additional cost, just please ensure they remain on the lead at all times and you clean up after them. Campfires and BBQ are permitted in the areas provided, just please don't move them as they are set up for your safety.

Owen's Farm Shop and Café is onsite, serving breakfasts and lunches Tuesday - Sunday from 9am until 4pm. Kirkby Stephen is a 20 minute stroll, with plenty more eateries, supermarkets, and pubs, including the Taggy Man.

Things to do on site and in the Kirkby Stephen area

You'll be staying on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with plenty to explore nearby including Nine Standards Rigg (15 minutes), Lammerside Castle (10 minutes), Podgill Viaduct (10 minutes) and the stunning Kisdon Force waterfall (30 minutes).

Just 20 minutes down the road is the Lake District National Park which is known to be a favourite amongst nature lover. Try boating or paddle boarding on Lake Windermere (50 minutes) or roam the flora and fauna of Holehird Gardens (55 minutes). England's highest peak Scafell Pike is just an hour away too and is a bucket list must for explorers.
