Clear filters Spoiled our earlier stay VW-Type Campervan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2023 We stayed one night at Blair Castle on the way back home from John O'Groats after we had stayed a single night on the way north a few days earlier. At our earlier stay, we told staff that on 25th May we would arrive late as we were collecting cyclists from JOG late afternoon so we wouldn't get down to Blair Castle till around 10pm or later. We were told this was ok as long as we were quiet on arrival, which wasn't a problem as we are always quiet and had no need to pitch a tent or awning, just our camper van to pull up and go to sleep.
However despite arriving at 9.40pm, earlier than originally forecast, we were met by a gentleman who told us off for arriving 10 mins after the normal latest check in time. This couldn't have been more different from our earlier stay when we had the friendliest of reception staff who were extremely courteous and helpful.
Our pitch was also not that flat so we had to use chocks, which still didn't quite do the job but it wasn't too bad.
Peaceful and relaxing
Camping Pod - Camping Pods (Dog Friendly) May 2023 The site and pod were lovely, very clean and tidy. Inside the pod was a sofa bed and there was a picnic table outside of the pod. Fortunately the weather was nice and we could sit outside to eat. The paths around the site were lovely and peaceful.
Spacious and very well run site
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches May 2023 Although there were quite a few people staying, the site still feels spacious and peaceful as it's big ! Well run, in a great location and with good facilities.

Location great but toilets/showers seemed insufficient
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2023 So many positives not least location, views, great staff and a well laid out site. Would be near perfect if there were more toilets and showers as numbers seemed insufficient /over used when site busy. They also quickly became dirty, not helped by some users bringing in mud, grass etc. I was also not a fan of shower curtains - a bit grubby and the cubicles cry out for a seat.
Friendly staff
Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2023 The pitch we were allocated was not big enough for our 9 meter motorhome and there was grass to get onto the pitch which, considering it was a 5 tonne motorhome, it risked getting stuck.
We went back to reception and they were able to make room for us.
Lovely location

Lots of nice walks for our dog and free access to the castle gardens. Small shop on site, but there is a Premier Store in the village.
Village pub is dog friendly and has very nice food.
Lovely trip
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2023 Receptionists were very friendly, helpful people. Site was very clean and well kept to a high standard. We will definitely be using this site again in the future.
Pitches close together Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2023 Pitches were very close together; could see into neighbouring vans and hear dogs barking in early morning. We thought it was expensive and the Wi-Fi was extra.
Toilets closed for cleaning at 9.30 when a lot of people were wanting to use them before setting off.
The staff that were seen on site were not the most knowledgeable on the facilities available and the staff in reception were not as helpful as I would have liked.
First of the year
Motorhome - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2023 Lovely park, generally good facilities, though would benefit from some modernisation. Very helpful staff able to answer any questions and assist with encountered problems.
Clean and quiet
Small Tent - Electric Grass Pitches Apr 2023 Excellent site. Stayed for 2 nights on an electric hookup tent pitch. Shower facilities were kept nice and clean. The reception and staff are very accommodating. Lovely walks around the site.
Fantastically friendly site
Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2023 Beautiful location, lovely peaceful site full of friendly people and staff. Despite being a little earlier on in the season, all the amenities we required were there. Will be back again. Thank you.
Lovely site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2023 This was a nice site. The toilet block was really clean, modern and nice and warm. The only slight thing I would say would maybe be to add a slab layer between the foot path and the hard standing.
Overpriced late check out fee
Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2023 I was charged £10 extra for a late check out. As the park was near empty, I think £10 was a bit steep to pay, it would have been different if the park was full.

Excellent visit
Camping Pod - Camping Pods Mar 2023 Beautiful, scenic park with lots of space. We stayed in a pod - it was clean and warm with a lovely view of the river. My girls loved the play park and the walks. The toilet/shower rooms were warm and regularly cleaned. The reception staff were friendly....one of the best camping sites I've been to.
