About the site
Set on a 100 acre working farm, this adult only, small campsite offers true peace and quiet surrounded by local wildlife. Situated just off Alresford Creek, it's a great site for walkers with miles of footpaths nearby heading to Wivenhoe or Brightlingsea or kayak along the estuary. Peg down your tent or park up the tourer in one of only six pitches. All pitches are without electric and are suitable for tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes with a maximum of three caravans and motorhomes at any one time. An ideal location to enjoy the remote Essex countryside while just 20 minutes from the historic town of Colchester and 15 minutes to Brightlingsea Beach, with footpaths to Brightlingsea and Wivenhoe. Sorry, no dogs are permitted due to being on a working farm. Fire pits and BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised off the ground.

The site is open for the May bank holiday weekends, weekends from 20th June to 20th July and then from 25th July to 31st August.

Exactly what we were after for our small group. Big wide open field, nobody else around despite only booking 3 pitches. Good communication after booking via WhatsApp with instructions for getting in and where to go. Didn’t see another soul whilst there just a few cars drove past on the track the whole time we were there. Nice little toilet/shower block, clean and modern. Despite not seeing/meeting owners the communication was good and took our calls whenever we had a question/query.

Beautiful location, and although the weather wasn't great we still had a fab time! Facilities were so clean, and well looked after. They have animals on the farm, so we had a stroll and fed the goats! It was so quiet and peaceful. We would recommend to everyone. Thanks again

Tucked away and very remote and quiet. Some chickens walking about which amuses the kids. Recommend early nights as the cockerels will wake you. Plenty of space to spread out. Good clean facilities. Finding the pitches tricky as not sign posted or informed until got there the site was behind a closed gate. Location great to get to anywhere you want to visit locally.
