Smallish campsite with average facilities. Was able to pitch our tent right at the water's edge. Nice views across the Firth.
I am in love with this place!

Nice location but mismanaged

Pre-booked, however on arrival, no one present at reception, just a note to leave your details and park anywhere in a designated area. Pitches were not numbered or otherwise identified. Found a pitch with an electrical point but the water tap did not have a standard connection, which meant having to move the motorhome to another water point on the site. The waste water disposal area was not signposted. All the waste and recycling bins were full! I felt that it was a mismanaged site. Pity, as the site is in a nice location just outside Inverness.
Site's response
I'm sorry your stay was unsatisfactory. We do not attempt to keep the reception open 24/7 and therefore some guests do indeed have to find their own pitch particularly if they arrive late. Occasionally the reception is closed during the day often to show a customer to their accommodation or pitch and the vast majority of our visitors enjoy the freedom of being able to choose their pitch anywhere on the park. The location of key facilities are clearly indicated on various signs throughout the park. The waste bins are emptied under contract and yes they will be full on the day of collection and is not the result of mismanagement. Can I suggest that you carry a widely available tap connector that can be pushed onto any tap for filling purposes.

The time that we spent at the park was lovely, the gentleman in the shop was very nice and very helpful. The park is tidy and the facilities are very clean. So glad we found this little hidden gem and we will definitely be returning.

Spent two nights here over bank holiday and used it as a base to drive up to John O’Groats. Location is really wonderful, clean, hot showers. Very well maintained. Will certainly be back.

A very quiet site during the day, but busy later on when it fills up very quickly. Bus into the centre of Inverness on the main road. The staff are very friendly.

Actually the best campsite we've stayed at on our road trip. We camped right at the water with stunning views. The facilities were immaculate and the campsite was perfectly situated for all the sightseeing we had planned. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be back.

Amazing night in Inverness. We stayed here last night. Lovely view and a very friendly man called Sam, who was in reception. It was very easy to go into Inverness for the evening.

We stayed one night at this site while we were touring the highlands. Check-in was a breeze with us just having to mark down my name and vehicle reg at the reception upon arrival, before parking up for the night. The site was very peaceful, we slept very well, waking up to a beautiful view over the water in the morning. The only issue we encountered was that we were requested to park in zone A or B upon arrival, however we couldn't see any signage to indicate the zone. It was dark at the time, so I could have missed them. Was a very nice campsite and would definitely stay here again when I am in the area.
