Set amongst trees and shrubs, wander through this relaxed site - perfect for couples young and old as well as small families looking to explore nature. Vintage bike hire on site.

About the site

Escape to this peaceful site in the heart of Suffolk, nestled in a secret garden surrounded by trees and shrubs offering a private space in the outdoors. You'll find a range of accommodation here. Bring your own tent and pitch up on one of the grass pitches or choose from a bell tent, yurt, gypsy caravan or the hideout in the trees! People choose to stay here for the peace and quiet, the range of facilities, the ability to travel light, the small and friendly feel and the village pub close to site. At night, the site lights up with solar lighting and the dark sky is ideal for stargazing. Sorry, no pets.

Facilities include the treebog and jungle shower outside, whilst indoors there's showers and flush loos. Tucked away in a corner of the garden, you'll find a fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine. Guests also have free use of the fully kitted outdoor kitchen. A campfire is stacked with enough wood for a fire each night and there's also a wood fired pizza oven! WiFi is also available. Guests have free use of the site's small collection of restored vintage bikes.

The award-winning village pub, The Sweffling White Horse, is onsite and open four nights a week selling local ales and other tasty treats. The site also has an off-licence service meaning campers are not restricted to pub opening times when purchasing drinks.

Site rules and policies

no amplified music, no large groups (see website for info). Whilst the garden is child-friendly, parents do need to maintain an appropriate level of supervision for the safety of the children and consideration for other guests

Things to do on site and in the Saxmundham area

Within easy reach of the garden you'll find many scenic footpaths from guided walks provided by the onsite pub to planning your own route. There is plenty of wildlife to spot and RSPB Minsmere is just over a 20 minute drive away.

Vintage bikes are available to hire onsite for those looking to cycle in the outdoors. The site is also on the National Cycle Route 41.

If you want to soak up the scenery in style, pre book a horse and carriage ride to pick you up straight from the garden.

The Suffolk coast is also just 20 minutes away. Top up your tan at Thorpeness and Covehithe or enjoy wild swimming at Outney Common.

Animal lovers should head to Easton Farm Park for a daytrip with the kids to feed the lambs, ride a pony, or enjoy a picnic after a farm walk.
