The main area of the campsite is open to everyone and will suit campers wanting more space and privacy with pitches near the river. Pitches are unallocated, so you can choose where to pitch (unless stated otherwise). There is also a ¾ acre Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site with 12 hook-up points, eight of which are hardstanding. The pitches are level and partly sheltered. Fires are allowed, as long as its raised from the ground and won't cause damage. Fire pits are available to hire, and bags of wood/kindling are available to purchase. There is virtually no light pollution here so you can camp underneath the stars and with the sounds of the river, sheep and the steam train chugging past four times daily! Please note that the site does not accept groups (even when booked separately).
