About Safari Cornwall

This peaceful glamping site is set in the countryside above the River Allen valley and just inland from the coast at Port Isaac. The site has a single pair of shepherd's huts and is let on a sole occupancy basis to accommodate a single family, offering a private and relaxing base for your holiday. The two shepherd's huts are located in the orchard and sleep two adults and up to four children. The master shepherd's hut is nice and spacious and able to accommodate a luxurious king size bed, a comfortable day bed (acting as either a sofa or two full size single beds), and a small wood burning stove to keep you snug. The junior shepherd's hut is specifically designed to give your children a taste of the simple life whilst being close enough to keep an eye on! It has bunk beds and comfortable bean bags. The huts are located on a decked area with a sheltered alfresco dining area alongside, with a gas BBQ, chiminea and hammock. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and most cooking utensils you should require. You can also try something different and stay in Big Blue, the converted horse box. The area is equipped with a kitchen area with a wood-burning stove, a small ensuite loo and a double bed for two with a skylight for nights under the stars. Outside you will also find a unique Bertha trailer which has been transformed into open air shower cubicle with beautiful views. Whether your day has been strenuous or lazy, you'll also be able to soak the stresses away in your own private hot tub - even under the stars. The colder the evening air, the better the experience! The site is also a previous winner of Glamping Gold in the Cornwall Tourism Awards.

Big Blue is available from May to October, the shepherd's huts are available until November 1st.

A note from the site themselves...

We are Paul and Kanya, the folks behind Safari Cornwall. Our journey started in Kenya, where we had some incredible experiences. We lent a hand with equine safaris and teamed up with some amazing safari lodges. After our Kenyan adventure, we decided to bring a piece of that wild world back to Cornwall.

We wanted to change the game when it comes to camping trips, and we handpick special opportunities for you to get up close and personal with Mother Nature. Trust us, calling it just 'camping' doesn't quite capture the magic. So why not join us for a real safari experience right here in the heart of Cornwall? We can't wait to share this adventure with you!
