About Hideaway Huts
If you're looking for a secluded, luxury hideaway that's off the beaten track yet close to all sorts of fantastic on-site facilities, Hideaway Huts is the perfect get away.
And on top of all this, both huts have the most spectacular country views and are set half a mile from each other!
Each hut has a full-size real double bed with crisp cotton linen and a pocket-sprung mattress. There's a twin gas-ring cooker, table and chairs, pretty squishy cushions and a log burner to keep you toasty too.
Your private bathroom has steaming hot shower, fluffy white towels and delicious-smelling toiletries from the Scottish Fine Soap co. Fresh drinking water is available just outside the door, and solar powered lights are fitted so you can stay up playing games, reading your book or just chattering away into the night.
If you'd like to bring the family, the shepherd's huts are just for two but there's space to camp alongside if you've booked a hut. Like the glampers, campers are provided with big fluffy white towels for an extra bit of luxury!
One of the huts even has its own private wood-fired hot tub!
The site is dog friendly as well and your dog will have a fantastic time with so many farm walks and paddocks for running free.
Hideaway Huts is open from 12/02 to 29/10.

A note from the site themselves...
Our first thought on setting up our two traditional shepherd's huts was to maximise the spectacular views offered by our 170 acre farm. As a result, each one is situated in a private spot that looks down over a beautiful valley (though they are 1/2 a mile from one another!).
We have been a family business since the '70s and have won dozens of awards. As such we are born-and-bred hosts who really know how to make our guests feel at home. As a bonus it also means that we able to invite the guests staying in the Shepherd's Hut and Lambing Hut to use the fantastic facilities belonging to Treworgey Cottages including a swimming pool, riding school and tennis court.
Our aim is to make sure guests feel their stay exceeded their expectations, and we hope you'll agree that our reviews demonstrate this.
I had a lovely time staying in the Lambing Hut. The location was perfect, exactly what I wanted. It was private, quiet and had the most beautiful views. The hut was clean, very comfortable and warm (I didn't need to use the log burner in the evenings when the temperate dropped). The hot shower was wonderful and the fridge and gadget charging were a lovely surprise and very handy.
The only downside was that the Lambing Hut is located at the top of a short but steep hill so getting all my gear up to the hut was hard work however it was completely worth it once I got settled in as the view wasn't the same from lower down in the field.
I was also able to take my dog and he had a lovely time running around in the fenced area. I didn't use any of the facilities (swimming pool, riding school etc) however they all looked clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay there again.

Shepherd's Hut - The Lambing HutApr 2023
Lovely peaceful weekend away. Difficult to find but that was part of the beauty. At the top of a steep field with great views down to Looe. The hut warms up so quickly with the fire and the basic kitchen was enough to cook a quick breakfast before heading out to a walk.

Shepherd's Hut - The Lambing HutAug 2022
This is a very special place. The lambing hut is small, but comfy. Our children put up a tent next to the hut. The view is stunning, the owners are very nice. The lambing hut is quite different from the cottages (which are also considerably more expensive): you have to carry your luggage up a quite steep hill and use a compost toilet.
We had some problems with the shower, but the owners got this fixed while we were there.
Apart from this, facilities such as the pool, tennis court and possibility of horse riding are great and quite luxurious.
