Gabriel's rest is perfect for anyone looking for an idyllic countryside getaway in a cozy shepherd's hut. Set just outside of Frant village in East Sussex, you can sit back and relax as you take in breathtaking views.

About Pococksgate Farm
Set in the countryside on the border of Kent and Sussex, you can unwind whilst soaking in the spectacular views over the fields, woodland, and beyond. This gorgeous self-catering shepherd's hut has a well-equipped kitchenette with an induction hob, microwave, and fridge with a freezer compartment. You will also get a toaster and kettle, along with all the crockery, cutlery, and glasses that you'll need. Complimentary tea, fresh ground coffee, milk, and biscuits are all included. The ensuite bathroom has a shower, WC, wash hand basin, heated towel rail, and a hairdryer, fresh soft white towels are also provided. The bedroom has a sumptuous bed that you just want to dive straight into! All bed linen is provided. The hut has underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove that you can cosy up around on those chilly Autumn evenings too. Enjoy sitting on the comfy sofa watching the tv, listening to the radio, or playing some board games. Outside you'll step down from the hut onto a wooden decking area, complete with a table and chairs and two lounging chairs. There is a fire pit that doubles up as a BBQ, perfect for a spot of al-fresco dining! Kindling, logs, and charcoal are all provided and included in the price, even paper, and matches, along with BBQ utensils. This peaceful retreat is a wonderful spot for anyone wanting to switch off and unwind in nature whilst staying warm and comfortable. Dogs are not allowed, sorry.

Gabriel's Rest shepherd's hut includes an ensuite toilet, shower, underfloor heating and kitchenette. Outside you'll find a fire pit that can turn into a BBQ and outdoor furniture. There is also onsite parking just 10m from the shepherd's hut.
The surrounding area has some great local shops and pubs. The nearby village of Frant is a 30 minute walk away, or the Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells with its many cafes and bars a 10 minute drive.

We had a brilliant stay. Would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a night or few nights away (great that they offer one night stays). The Shepherd’s hut was beautiful, cosy and in a great location. The hosts were lovely and gave us a lift back to the station in the morning. Will definitely be booking again. Was 10/10.

If you're looking for a quiet getaway from your everyday busy lifestyle, this is a MUST go to! Away from the normal noisy life and just a place to regather and refocus. A great place to press pause and just reboot. I'd def go again in the summer!

The Shepherd's Hut was beautiful and tastefully decorated. It was super cosy and the log burner made it really romantic. We went on a cold miserable day and didn't get to explore or use the outside, however it didn't matter as the hut had everything we needed.

Visit the Mark Cross garden centre for an array of quaint individual shops, or indulge in their very popular breakfasts.
Penshurst Place and Gardens is a lovely day out for all with its striking castle and stunning gardens, filled with an abundance of wildlife.
