About Ael y Garnedd
This family-friendly touring site in the Anglesey countryside puts you within easy reach of both the mountains and the seaside. Sit back, relax and marvel at the picturesque views or get out and enjoy days at the beach or adventuring through Snowdonia National Park. The site has 11 grass pitches, each of which comes with a 10 amp electric hook up. Each pitch welcomes up to six guests, suitable for trailer tents, caravans and tourers. There are also another 22 hardstanding pitches which have individual grass lawns, complete with 10 amp electric hook up, water hook up and chemical waste disposal. These pitches also take up to six people and allow trailer tents, caravans and tourers. Four-legged friends are also welcome, with up to two dogs allowed per pitch. There is also a large dog walking area at Traeth Benllech which is open for most of the year, perfect for stretching their paws! BBQs are welcome, so don't forget to pack your chef's apron. However, please note campfires are not permitted.

Facilities include toilets, showers, a baby washroom, disabled toilet/shower room, a laundrette, washing up area, a play area and WiFi.
The closest shop for food is a Co-op, just a five minute drive away. There are three pubs within a five minute drive, The Penrhos Arms, Tafarn Ty Gwyn and the Gaerwen Arms.

A lovely quiet park. The showers and toilets are immaculate and they aren't far from any of the pitches. We had a brilliant stay, people couldn't do enough to help, including the owners. We only wished our stay was longer, we will definitely be back! Also the drive to find it was so easy, just follow the owners directions on the email - it was very helpful!
Lovely location. Had a nice pitch, th we facilities are spotless and we were lucky with the weather!

Things to do on site and in the Gaerwen area
Guests should make sure to pop along to the Menai Suspension Bridge just five minutes away, with an impressive structure over the river between Anglesey and mainland Wales. From here you can also enjoy glorious views put over Bangor and the Menai Strait.
If you're looking to keep the whole family entertained, a trip to GreenWood Family Park (15 minutes) is the perfect choice. Find your way out of the dragon maze, take a ride on the rollercoaster or get wet on the enchanted river ride.
A great way to see the wonderful welsh landscapes in style is via a ride on the Llanberis Lake Railway. The narrow-gauge steam train takes you past lakes and mountains, with plenty of wildlife to spot along the way!
When the weather is warm, a day out at Traeth Benllech beach (20 minutes) is a must. The sandy shore is ideal for a spot of sunbathing, whilst the gentle blue waters are great for swimming.
