About the site
Located on the North Coast 500 and just a ten-minute drive to Reiss Sands, this site makes for an ideal getaway in the Highlands, exploring the beauty of Caithness, or a great place for an overnight stop-off. A ten minute walk will take you into the town of Wick where you will find a railway station, a harbour and plenty of restaurants and pubs too! Tent campers are welcome across the electric and non electric grass pitches, whilst motorhomes caravans and campervans can also opt for an electric hardstanding pitch with a 16 amp hook up. Roof tents are also permitted on all pitches except for the smaller ones. This site is part of a community enterprise, meaning a stay here will contribute to the continued improvement of the site or local projects that will improve life for locals and guest experiences. Ideal for a stop off along the NC500 or for a longer stay to explore Caithness, this site is just 25 minutes from John o'Groats, the most distant point from Land's End in Cornwall. BBQs are welcome on site, great if you enjoy al fresco cooking. However, please note that campfires and fire pits are not allowed, sorry. If you are looking to bring your four-legged friends, they are more than welcome as long as they are on the lead. There is a riverside walk that you can take straight from the campsite, great for a dog walk or a family bike ride.
