About The Shepherds Hut Retreat
Taste the romance of top notch glamping life at this site which is set close to a sparkling lake - where you'll enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by untouched nature. The site is bordered by the beautiful counties of Somerset, Devon and Dorset - so wherever you're going in the South West, this is a great place to stay. There are four sumptuous and unique shepherd's huts, each with a individually styled interior - designed by top professionals. Inside, whichever one you choose, you'll be treated to en-suite facilities, beautiful vintage furnishings, a private kitchen area and gorgeous views from the wide entrance to the hut. The huts are very roomy, sized at 20ft by 8ft and offer excellent green credentials. Your environmental conscience will be squeaky clean, since the site uses solar power and recycled materials.

Bathroom and kitchen facilities are self contained within the huts. Wi-Fi is available on site. The lakeside hot tub can be booked by guests and there's also a fabulous sauna with outdoor shower, all available for a small fee.
There is a gastropub right by the site which serves excellent food. Two miles away, Crewkerne offers a selection of supermarkets, tasty cafes, shops and a gym for those are feeling virtuous on holiday.

It's hard to imagine not feeling relaxed here, lying back and taking in the stars from the warm embace of a hot tub or toasting yourself in an infrared sauna.
But, when you're ready to break out of your luxurious cocoon, there are a host of options, starting with breathtaking strolls and bike rides in the Dorset AONB.
Start your exploration from historic Lyme Regis, home to quirky shops and a delicious tea room. You must try the immensely tasty oysters, too.
Along the superb Jurassic Coast, you'll be tempted to sandy beaches in the area of Bridport and lovely West Bay. Grab a stick of rock and get to know the proper seaside vibes at Weymouth.
