Clear filters Amazing location with sea views Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Amphitheatre Field) Aug 2023 Situated just north of St Davids with sea views. Lots of sites to choose from. We stayed in the Amphitheatre area next to the main facilities.
Large barns which came in very handy when Storm Betty came crashing though. Lots of people stayed safe in barns which have toilets showers and lighting. There is a small shop on site and a direct path to the beach and coastal path. They have most things on site anyone could need and a short drive or taxi to St Davids or Milford Haven for more shopping.
Short walk along the coastal path to Blue Lagoon. Also have on site kayak hire.
Spacious, friendly and accomodating Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) Aug 2023 Very big campsite, friendly staff, lovely clean facilities, showers are good. Fridges, and freezers, charging facilities, washing machine and tumble dryer at no extra cost.
I had a wonderful stay at the campsite, felt safe and comfortable. They were accommodating when I needed them to be and supportive and helpful. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely return again, in fact I absolutely plan to do just that.
Perfect location for exploring the South West Coastal path and some gorgeous coves, I even saw seals. Remote, wild and utterly breath taking location, I was in awe.
Thanks for a great stay guys!
Stunning location Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) Aug 2023 Absolutely stunning location, managed by lovely staff, food in the main barn was brilliant and the toilets/ showers were always kept clean and ready for use.
Thanks for a lovely trip guys, we will be back.
Fantastic and friendly campsite Recommends site
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) Jul 2023 Just got back from our stay and the site is absolutely beautiful!
All the facilities were spotless all week and the staff were so friendly and helpful! they went out of their way to help and nothing was too much for them to do (including letting us watch the football on site after ringing round local pubs for us to find out if anyone was showing the match)!
They genuinely seem to want to help you enjoy your holiday and the staff are a real credit to the business! it is a basic campsite, but it is advertised as that and has everything you need camping. It's on the coast path and the staff are happy to point you in the direction of good beaches/walks, etc.
We ended up cutting the trip short by a day because of a storm coming in and not believing our tent would survive, but otherwise would have been happy staying longer if we could. I would definitely go back!
Slightly disturbed nights Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) Jul 2023 We chose a field close to amenities and sheltered as it was wet and windy, but realised we were very close to a field with bird scares for crops (loud bangs) which went on till 9pm. I would have liked to be warned about this with young children.
Great facilities with large inside space including hot water and toasters, phone charging. Option of food served. Option to put up several tents and camping in any of the fields.
On the third night, a large group stayed for 2 nights in the next field with loud music etc into the early hours. The reception spoke to them the next day but unfortunately the group continued to disturb us all the following night so we had to move our tent with children to a further away field late in the night. Obviously, the site has no control over the selfish actions of large groups and it was unlucky that we and other campers in the surrounding fields had this experience.
It would have been nice to have drying room and hair dryer available given the wet weather.
Pretty views over sea Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) Jul 2023 The views were spectacular.
However, for the money, it wasn't up to my standard with the shower and toilet facilities as I felt they were very old, run down and not a clean as I like. The showers were hot and had a heavy water flow which was good though. I wouldn't go back because of this reason as I've stayed in other beautiful sites where the facilities were much better, but for the location, it is lovely with a nice coastal walk.
There was only one wash machine and dryer which took ages. The shop was pretty sparse too.
Beautiful views and a friendly feel Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) Jul 2023 A friendly campsite, with amazing views. Nobody blasting music out all night or drunken antics.
The toilets could have done with a decent clean, but other than that it was a great place to stay.
Breathtaking views and blissfully chilled Recommends site
Twin Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) Jul 2023 The perfect getaway to properly switch off.
I booked this for my husband's birthday and we stayed here with our dog. The site is situated right on the coastal path with the best views over the Irish Sea and over to Abereiddy.
The reception staff were great and the facilities were perfect.
Pembrokeshire has stolen our hearts Recommends site
Jul 2023 Fantastic stay at Celtic Camping. From the moment we arrived, we were made for feel very welcome. Lovely staff, very knowledgeable of the area and happy to provide us with all the information we needed to explore the area, including a weather forecast for each day.
The pitches were well maintained and had fabulous sea views and we were lucky to have some incredible sunsets during our stay. The facilities were good, we particularly liked the large common room, which has ample sedating for those rainier days.
Location was perfect, with a short walk to the blue lagoon and access to the Welsh coastal path. Overall a fantastic stay, we would definitely recommend and hope to plan a trip again soon.
Outstanding view and beautiful walks along the cliff Recommends site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) Jun 2023 If you are looking for a remote camping site away from it all! Celtic camping is perfect, this is a huge site close to the blue lagoon, the views are incredible and the cliff top walk is stunning, the sunset and sunrise are def not to be missed.
Location is very close to St David's which is a stunning little city, however, the facilities are limited. They have shower blocks which are ok but there is no shop or any other facility, make sure you bring what you need for the evening as it's located on a small country lane and a 4-mile walk into St David's.
But def recommend a stay here for the remoteness and view x
Wonderful setting Recommends site
Motorhome - Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) Jun 2023 Views to die for, location is amazing. Rustic campsite offering basic facilities in wonderful setting on the National Trail. Easy walk to Abereiddy beach and the Blue Lagoon.
Great campsite Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) Jun 2023 Great campsite, amazing location.
Will definitely return.
OK if you have your own facilities VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) May 2023 First the positives - the view is amazing and the location fantastic - an hour walk to the Blue Lagoon and a 10 min drive to St Davids.
Negatives - It was filthy. Two toilet blocks are not enough for the number of people staying there (must have been into the hundreds). The staff cannot keep up with the cleaning after this many people. People didn't seem to care that there were others wanting to use the facilities after them. People were observed washing their feet in the bathroom sinks and then not cleaning up after themselves, plus washing food waste into the sinks which caused blockages. To quote another camper (unrelated to us) "I don't know what's the matter with people". We could not get out of there fast enough. The rubbish was being blown out of the recycling skips all over the site. Goodness knows what it will be like in the height of summer. Will not be returning. If I could enter zero stars for cleanliness and facilities, then I would.
Lovely Recommends site
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) May 2023 The campsite was lovely and had amazing views and the staff were very helpful.
Great place Recommends site
Motorhome - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) May 2023 I would definitely recommend a visit here.
Only issue I had was someone with a German shepherd did not have control of their dog and attempted to attack my Labrador. People need to take responsibility as there were several children and dogs nearby.
The place was breathtakingly beautiful, the walks endless and the quiet was priceless. Great value for money - will definitely return.
Weekend away with family Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) May 2023 Perfect location with a coastal stroll to Blue Lagoon. 10 minutes drive from St David's cathedral, 15 minutes to beautiful Solva harbour and Newgale beach.
Campsite was great, but open to elements on windy days, the view is spectacular and there is a large communal area that can be used. Showers were great, but needed a few more toilets due to the size of the site
Will definitely return.
First time camping in West Wales Recommends site
Medium Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) May 2023 Lovely friendly site. It's a bit remote and you need to use the car a lot. Ideal for walkers and people who like to do outdoor activities.
The campsite is spotless, toilet/shower area was clean and tidy. I had the pleasure to meet the cleaner, Jacqueline, whom was very polite and approachable.
Amazing Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Lower Abereiddi Field) May 2023 Amazing views and location.
Amazing views Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) May 2023 Great place to stay, lovely views and great facilities
Celtic Camping Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Quiet Field) May 2023 Never been before. Turned up and once we saw the map of the place, asked if we could switch fields because the quiet field had no views etc and was a fair walk from the toilets. Was told a firm no so really disappointed with the service I received.
There was nothing on the site - just toilets showers etc. St David's was ok. The noise on Friday night from the main field was unbelievable and on the last night, a group of young lads turned up late to pitch tents in the dark and woke us up.
The costal walks however, are absolutely stunning. We saw a seal as well so that did make up for the rest of it. My suggestion is put a map on so you can see the layout of the site.
A big thumbs up Recommends site
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Quiet Field) May 2023 The site is located by the ocean with stunning views. It is free from litter and staff are very kind and helpful.
There were only a couple of drawbacks - firstly it was advertised that a canteen area would be available, however we could not get access to it when we tried.
Secondly, before we left we stopped at a water point, my girlfriend stepped in some dog mess that was in the overgrown grass surrounding the tap. A very kind cleaner called Jaqueline came to the rescue and really helped by lending us cleaning products and gloves. She was happy to help and was a pleasure to talk to.
Overall we had a really nice time and would happily go back.
Quiet, with great views and access! Recommends site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Amphitheatre Field) May 2023 Every year, my partner and I go camping to celebrate my birthday. This year we chose to come to West Wales and were very impressed by our stay at Celtic Camping. They have a variety of pitches with various access, full hygiene facilities, and dumpsters marked for differing recycling and waste.
Overall, I would say our stay was a 4.5 out of 5 only due to an out of order shower and a few times it wasn't always cleaned out. However, with the amount of people staying over the holiday weekend, it is completely forgivable, just something we noted. They have access to the coastal walk and it is a 10 minute drive into St. David's for meals out town or tours.
Weekend trip Recommends site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) May 2023 Wonderful stay. Lovely facilities and beautiful location.
Great campsite Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) Apr 2023 Incredibly friendly staff, I met Ian and Jacqueline who could not have been more welcoming. Facilities were amazing and clean, and having dinner and breakfast available on site made things convenient when we needed to eat quickly. Showers didn't need an old coin system which was great too. Will definitely be coming back soon.
Lovely site and helpful staff Recommends site
VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Upper Abereiddi Field) Apr 2023 Really lovely site, with amazing sea views near the Pembrokeshire coastal path.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean.
Will visit again.
