Great view day and night

My friend attend this campsite in 2022, I had no idea it was the same campsite he had been raving about, I guess great minds think alike plus the location is hand and feet above all the other camp sites. There were about 500 pitches and lots of electric hook up points - ideal if you have an EV. It was a wonderful experience at this campsite! This site has a lot to offer for those looking to combine outdoor adventures with amenities just a short walk, cycle or drive away. The fact that the site is located on a working farm with teaching and sports training adds a unique element to the experience, and it's shared facilities are well-maintained and offer a range of activities. The ability to have open fires with a fire pit is always a bonus, and the requirement to purchase local wood is a nice touch that supports the local economy. It's also great to know that the campsite is run by the local Coxswain of the RNLI, and that donations to the St David Lifeboat are encouraged. Lastly, the fact that the campsite is located just a few miles away from St Davids with reasonably priced shops adds to the convenience of the experience. Overall, this campsite is a great choice for those looking for a balance of adventure and comfort. The combination of great facilities, beautiful views, and the option to support a local cause make this site a top choice.

Very friendly staff, great campsite

Great site right near the beach, staff were really friendly and helpful, and lots of space so it didn't feel like everyone was on top of each other.

Easter weekend 2023

Stunning views and coastal walks from the site. Very friendly staff, lovely clean facilities. There is a large room where you can cook and chill out if the weather is bad. Only grumble is that the only toilets are by reception as you come in. The fields are large and with no lighting at all, so it is a very long walk in the dark if you need to nip to the toilet. Luckily, we took head torches 🔦 with us. Other than that, highly recommended 👌

Great bank holiday weekend

Great location for accessing the Pembrokeshire landscape.

Outstanding

The week I stayed, there was hardly anyone on the site so it was very peaceful. The walks are breath-taking. It's wet season, so luckily I left in time. One oft the best places I've stayed for peacefulness.

Helpful beyond belief

We arrived late at night after the ferry from Ireland, baby in tow, they put us up in a room rather than the pitch we booked to make life easier. I cannot understate how much I appreciate that. Cannot recommend enough!

Amazing campsite

A break away

The site was very easy to find and close to amenities. There was a lovely choice of fields to choose from with beautiful sea and countryside views. Their washing, toilet and shower facilities were spotless at all times, they also had lovely areas to wash dishes. There's a lovely large room on site with a stage area and lots of settees and chairs that could be used in bad weather. There was also a very small shop with basics on site. There is also a cafe area, freezers and other things available which I didn't use so cannot comment. There are lots of different bins available for recycling everything possible, which is brilliant. We ventured down to the little cove, which is stunning and the ciasral oath is easily accessible. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely return.

Views as far as I can see

This campsite has the potential to be amazing. Right now, what's selling this campsite for me is the views you get out to sea and watching the sunsets/sunrises. The staff were really friendly/welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. You are within walking distance (1 hour one way) from Blue Lagoon. However, the toilets and showers I feel need to be cleaned more regularly. The lack of sinks to do your cleaning queues built up regularly. The showers would be better suited if they had an area to put clothes, rather than hooks on the back of the door. The organisation of the campsite could be improved. They have a "free for all" attitude to get a spot, which they advised on the website, however, it wasn't to my personal taste. I feel that clear boundaries for each pitch would make it more aesthetically pleasing, such as hedges, as there is not much privacy .The location is remote and you would need to travel to St David ( 20 min away) to access the nearest supermarket, although they do have a shop that is adequately filled. However, it has strange opening times. This campsite has the potential to be amazing. It just needs time and some further investment. The location is remote, but stunning.

Our first time camping and everything was excellent, views were amazing.

Lovely stay with beautiful weather and scenery

Beautiful location. So much access to the Pembrokeshire countryside and stunning views. As advised, it was rustic, and was a little busy over BH weekend which meant facilities were very stretched. Can get windy - again all advised in their write up. It's as near to wild camping as we want to get, but we were lucky with the weather.

Fantastic campsite

We have had an amazing stay at Celtic Campsite!! Scenic panoramic sea views in the perfect location for what we wanted to do during our stay. Facilities were fantastic, very clean too! All staff were so polite and helpful, from the catering staff to the office staff nothing was too much trouble. Such a chilled campsite which made for a nice atmosphere for all campers. We will 100% be staying here again and we will be recommending this campsite to our friends and family too! Thank you to all the staff, you all do a brilliant job.

Amazing views, shame about the rest

A stunning location for sure, which initially made up for the basic facilities provided in the Blue Lagoon field. Sadly ruined over the weekend when huge groups turned up and facilities were really not adequate - one male and female toilet with running water for the whole field, portaloos with no chemical in as an alternative, several of which became full and had to be closed. Hot water in the showers were not working on more than one occasion and generally dirty and unpleasant. Did not see a cleaner come once. Also, we were amazed they allow loud music and burning of campfires in one of the driest summers on record - a potential fire hazard and damaging to this beautiful area. Would not recommend.

Thank you for leaving feedback regarding your trip Vicki, which we always take on-board with a view to looking at how we can improve to experience for campers on site. When guests check in at reception on arrival, we try and give enough information to guests regarding the site to allow them to decide where may best suit them. Normally as part of this, we would explain that the Blue Lagoon field is really all about the views and that the facilities in that field are more basic than the rest of the site so that this manages the expectations, but that obviously they can still come down and use the more established facilities in the main campsite. That said, we appreciate that during the busy times, and given the popularity of the field, the facilities were under strain at times and certainly this is something that we are looking to develop and improve in advance of Summer 2023. Regarding the campfire situation, we did monitor this situation carefully and put a temporary ban on the use of BBQ's and campfires on site on a couple of occasions when necessary. However, we also appreciate that being able to have a controlled fire in a small fire pit is an enjoyable part of the camping experience for many guests so when we felt it was safe, we did allow this but with a little guidance to campers regarding safety etc. The fact that we had no incidents on site is testament to this. We are sorry to hear that you were disturbed by loud music during your stay. The owner, Ian, is always fastidious in his efforts to ensure all campers are happy and enjoying themselves, whilst being considerate of others around them, and will 'do the rounds' throughout the evening and into the early hours to monitor music levels and have a quiet word with groups who are maybe a little too loud. Great campsite

Would highly recommend this campsite, beautiful views and excellent facilities!

Celtic Camping, a great place

1st time staying there and it was excellent. Site shop is a little overpriced, but aren't they all. Toilets and showers were always clean with loo roll. Great access to the coast path and local beaches. Will definitely return 100%. The toilet cassette wash area could do with a hose on the tap to make washing out a bit easier. If you are looking for a site that is close to all the modern trappings of life, this is not for you, if however you are looking to set up turn of all electrics and get away from it all, this is definitely the place for you. Kids had a great time exploring, loved it. They have washing machines, tumble driers, microwaves, fridges freezers that you can use free of charge, WiFi if you need it and serve food daily. I could go on forever, get down there and try it out for yourselves.

Fantastic campsite!

Large site with plenty of space. Good access to the sea, great views. Facilities excellent.

Stay for 2 nights

Excellent park ... please can we ask if we can store our RV over winter with you and price that would include as we liked this, very much especially with my dad who is disabled with wheelchair.

Lovely stay!

Lovely stay in a beautiful location! Campsite has plenty of space and you could pick your own spot! Facilities were fantastic. You had access to kettles, microwaves, fridge, freezer, washing machine, sinks and chill seating areas with WiFi! Showers and toilets were pleasant, but could do with more regular maintenance and cleaning, and possible upgrading as décor looked a little shabby and worn, but it didn't affect use whatsoever! Staff were polite and friendly and were very informative. We went as a couple, but there were families with children. Although, there wasn't a huge amount for children to do, as there was no play areas or entertainment.

Beautiful views, great canpsite

Great campsite. Also a bunk bar so lots of extra facilities, including hot water urn and indoor eating spaces, and breakfast and evening meals on some days. Friendly staff. Great views on all pitches, but and open coastal campsite so very windy. Shop and wood available. Loads to do from the site and close by. We've had a lovely holiday.

Excellent facilities and great staff

Fantastic food available at a very reasonable price. The gentleman behind the reception had a fantastic haircut. The views along the coastline were stunning. Highly recommended.

Great stay

Chilled yet well managed environment. I will return! A great campsite as a base for North Pembrokeshire. Mi fyddwn yn ôl! (I will be back!)
