About the site


Located just over the Welsh border, this peaceful countryside is within a 15 minute drive of Chester, great for exploring top attractions like Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium. It is also a short 20 minute walk to Ewloe village for local shops and eateries. The site offers just 28 grass pitches, measuring 10m x 10m with 10 amp electric hook ups. Campervans, caravans and motorhomes are welcome, with up to six guests permitted per pitch. Fishing is available year round, with two coarse fishing pools stocked with common carp, mirror carp and F1 carp. There are 41 pegs, including one which is wheelchair accessible. In reception, there is also a small tackle and bait shop (open Tuesday to Sunday). The Castle Cafe is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 4pm, serving up breakfast, lunch, a stocked bar and afternoon tea. In the evening, you are welcome to cook up a BBQ, as long as it isn't charcoal. Dogs can join you for your stay, with up to two dogs allowed per pitch.

There are two toilet and shower blocks (a cash deposit is required for a shower/toilet block key fob, which will be refunded). Baby changing, a disabled toilet and a cold water pot wash sink are available. Castle Cafe is open Tuesday to Sunday 9am-4pm serving breakfast and lunch with indoor and outdoor seating, along with sofas and a TV.

There are two coarse fishing pools with 41 pegs, including a wheelchair accessible peg. In reception, there is a small tackle shop.

The Wepre Bar and Grill, and Ewloe Social and Community Club are within a 20 minute walk. A Premier store is also a 25 minute walk away for essentials.
