A note from the site themselves...
Gatcombe park farm is our family home where we breed Alpacas, we love our surroundings and countryside location and wanted to share these wonderful animals in their surroundings with others.
We have created a small glamping site with a mix of glamping experiences for you from camping in a traditional Native American tipi out with the alpacas under the stars without Wi-Fi but with a touch of home comforts a double bed, and seperate luxury shared bathroom.
There is also our Retro cabin in the berry garden along with our restored Showman's traveling wagon, these are both fitted with kitchenettes and share an outside toilet and shower room, these both have electric and limited Wi-Fi along with a tv. These are not in with the Alpaca's but walking and feeding experience can be booked.
There are a small number of spots for smaller tents along with smaller camper vans with water and use of the luxury shared unisex bathroom.

We were delighted with our booking as it was the end of the season. We were the only ones on site and it was lovely.
The location is great, walkable to Totnes. It is a country walk. The facilities are fab, so many things have been thought of. There are two lovely pubs within a short country walk and the llamas are very cute. We would like to thank our hosts for making our first trip away in our van so special 😍
Fantastic!

Tipi or Wigwam - Tipi TentsAug 2024
Gatcombe Park Farm was absolutely lovely. It was easy enough to find, and the tipi we stayed in was gorgeous. The bathrooms were great & clean, and the little kitchen area was incredibly helpful. Even when we wanted a bit more firewood, Phil was kind enough to bring it over on short notice. Also Toby, the farm dog, was a highlight for my husband. Would definitely recommend, and may even stop again one day!
Amazing stay at Gatcombe Park Farm - highly recommend!

Tipi or Wigwam - Tipi TentsAug 2024
We had the most fantastic 3-night stay at Gatcombe Park Farm in August, and I can’t rave enough about it! We stayed in one of the tipis, and it was absolutely stunning. Waking up to the views of the farm, especially during sunrise, was such a peaceful and beautiful experience.
The outdoor kitchen area was a game-changer – fully equipped with a microwave, toaster, little cooker, fridge freezer, and even a dining table. It made our camping experience so much more convenient. The bathrooms were also a pleasant surprise, super clean and well-maintained.
One of the highlights of our stay was Phil, who kindly brought us firewood free of charge. Such a thoughtful touch! The farm animals, especially the alpacas, peacocks, and chickens, added so much charm to the place. Watching them roam around the farm was a delight, and you can even buy fresh eggs – a perfect touch for breakfast.
The only suggestion I’d make is maybe adding a sign for the luxury shower and bathroom to remind people it’s available after 9:30 AM. A few campers were using it earlier, so we had to wait a bit. But honestly, that’s a minor thing compared to everything else.
Overall, if you’re looking for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway with amazing views, lovely animals, and great facilities, Gatcombe Park Farm is the perfect spot. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking to camp in style!
