About the site


Enjoying a great location by the Welsh Coast and close to the SSSI area of Black Rock Sands, Glan-y-Mor is a haven for those who love the seaside and a perfect base for exploring the sights of Wales. The site is situated to the left of the beach entrance, behind the dunes, offering great access to the coast. On offer are grass pitches, with stunning views over the surrounding dunes and hills behind. Electric hook ups are also available.

The site is open from April until September.

Things to do on site and in the Porthmadog area

The sprawling sandy beach adjacent to the park is ideal for bathing, boating and water sports. Children will spend many happy hours playing on the rocks and in the rock pools which are a feature of the beach.

Porthmadog, the nearest town, with its pleasant shopping and recreational facilities is the ideal base for touring the Snowdonia National Park.

The entire Llyn peninsula is full of glorious bays and charming fishing villages. One of the best is Borth-y-Gest, or you could get back to nature at the Traeth Glaslyn nature reserve in Minffordd.

Criccieth Castle is great for a family pastime. Built originally by Llywelyn the Great, it now hosts festivals and events throughout the year.

Top attractions in the area include:
