About the site

Based on the North Cornwall coast, this family run site is ideally placed for days by the sea, coastal walks and exploring the surrounding area. The coastal towns of Portreath and Porthtowan are both just five minutes away (or a 20 minute stroll), while the vibrant seaside town of St Ives is 25 minutes away. Onsite, you will find spacious non electric and electric grass pitches measuring 9m x 9m, suitable for tents, trailer tents, roof tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes, with some offering a 16 amp electric hook up. Campervans and motorhomes can also choose an electric hardstanding pitch measuring 6.5m x 6.5m, while caravans can choose from 9m x 9m hardstanding pitches. Please note that awnings, gazebos and pup tents are welcome on the grass pitches but are not allowed on the hardstanding pitches. Units longer than 7.5 metres are not permitted. There's plenty to keep the whole family entertained onsite, from a children's play area and six acres of playing field to an onsite stream for paddling and a covered games area with a pool table. During peak season, you can splash around in the outdoor swimming pool. The onsite shop is also handy for picking up any camping essentials! For keen walkers and cyclists, enjoy direct access to the Coast to Coast cycle path via the Tolgus Trail, leading to sandy Portreath Beach, where you'll find pubs and cafes, before joining the South West Coast Path for longer seaside hikes towards Godrevy. Four-legged friends are more than welcome, with up to two pups permitted per pitch. BBQs and fire pits are permitted, but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times. Bricks are available onsite for this if needed, and fire kits and logs are sold in the onsite shop.

Cambrose Camping and Touring is open from 01/04 to 30/09 in 2026 and from 26/03 to 30/09 in 2027.
