About the site

Take in the fabulous views over the Downs from your pitch at Stud Farm. If you're a traditional camper looking for some good ol' fashioned camping with basic facilities, to explore the sweeping countryside, the site has you covered. Pitches are on grass and suitable for tents and small campervans only (max 6 metres). Sorry, no caravans or motorhomes here. They are marked, allowing campers to choose which pitch they would like. The site welcomes everyone from backpackers to small campers. And, for large groups, the camping field can be hired for your gathering with an advanced booking. Well behaved dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead. Do note all under 21s must be accompanied by an adult.

Stud Farm is open on the following dates for 2026: 06/03 to 04/10, 10/10 to 12/10, 17/10 to 19/10 and 24/10 to 26/10. Pitches from £25/night for 2 people.

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesMay 2026

Perched on top of a beautiful hill, you get the views of the village and sea below. Obviously being on top of a hill it can be a bit windy but the day we arrived it was lovely and hot. The host was really lovely and a super friendly Yorkshire lass. She pointed out that the showers can reduce in pressure if someone else is using the facilities but we picked a quiet time to have a shower and it was fine. Water pressure not super strong but was able to wash my hair and the temperature was lovely. The sheep in the field next door was lovely as there were so many baby lambs jumping about. The walk down to Telscombe and Saltdean is beautiful but get your walking boots out for the walk back after 2 wines 😂

Great views

Basic camping but great location. We walked down the hill to Saltdean and had a nice meal at the Smugglers. The hosts live on site and brought us a great BBQ pack and camp fire we had ordered. All Good !
