About the site

Set on a converted farm along the banks of the River Severn, this site offers a family friendly escape with tiered levels for great countryside views. For little ones, there are two play parks to keep them busy, with top attractions like West Midlands Safari Park (5 minutes) and Treasure Island (10 minutes) nearby! The Georgian town of Bewdley is a 20 minute walk away, filled with independent shops, cosy pubs, and eateries. For outdoor adventures, Wyre Forest National Nature Reserve is next door with adventure trails, cycling routes, and wildlife. A range of grass and hardstanding pitches with optional electric hook ups are available. Grass pitches (9m x 7m) come with a metered 16 amp for tents, trailer tents, and campervans. There are also a few non electric grass pitches (8m x 8m). The hardstanding pitches (9m x 7m) include a 16 amp metered hook up and are suitable for touring caravans, campervans, and motorhomes. For guests seeking extra comfort, a variety of glamping units are available (please bring your own bedding and towels). Four spacious five metre bell tents sleep up to four, featuring a king size bed and two singles, and share a sheltered outdoor cooking area with gas cookers, utensils, crockery, cool boxes, and picnic benches. Four cosy yurts also sleep four, each furnished with a king size bed and a small double futon. Inside, there is a gas cooker, heater, fridge, cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery, and dining furniture. Outside, enjoy private decking with views over the Wyre Forest and Beau Castle. There are two handcrafted shepherd's huts available year-round. Sleeping four, they each include two double beds. The huts come equipped with a TV, cooker, fridge, microwave, heater, crockery, and cutlery. Each has an enclosed decking with a gas BBQ, outdoor seating, and private wood-fired hot tubs. The Ewe shepherd's hut features its own ensuite bathroom with a toilet, shower, and heated towel rail. This hut is dog free. The Old Rams shepherd's hut is fitted with a log burner inside and outside. Dogs are welcome to join you for your stay, with up to four dogs permitted per pitch. BBQs and fire pits are permitted, as long as they are raised off the ground. The site also offers fire pits for hire!

A note from the site themselves...

At Hopley's, sustainability isn't just an idea, it's a responsibility we take seriously. Being close to busy areas like the Black Country and Birmingham, we are proud that we can offer a natural escape without the need for long distance travel.

One of our favourite projects has been transforming a wet area at the bottom of the campsite into our Nature Pool, now a peaceful haven where ducks, frogs and other wildlife thrive. Across the site, we have introduced dedicated recycling bins and partnered with a waste management company that specialises in recycling glass, food waste and cardboard.

In the Rustic Kitchen, all plates and containers are fully biodegradable. We have also planted wildflower banks to support pollinators and begun replacing traditional fencing with hedging and shrubs to create greener boundaries.

Our pay-as-you-go electric meters help guests track and reduce their energy use, and we refund any unused units to encourage conservation. This is only the beginning. We are fullu committed to continually improving, ensuring Hopley's grows as a truly sustainable place to stay!
