A note from the site themselves...
We started working on the groundwork for our campsite back in 2019 when Howard happily took early retirement! After lots of hard work, we were so pleased to finally open our doors to campers in August 2021.
After a few months, I also retired from working at our wonderful local pub, The Punchbowl Inn and now we both enjoy being onsite - Howard especially loves keeping the campsite tidy and cutting the grass!!! It's a real joy for us to meet all our lovely new guests and of course our regulars too.
We have always felt so lucky to live in the Lake District National Park, we really enjoy going out for walks and would now love to start exploring all the Wainwrights.
The Lake District is a special place and we hope you will love it too. Carole and Howard

Spacious pods complete with a king size bed with all bedding and towels provided. There is an ensuite shower room, well equipped kitchenette, Smart TV and WiFi. Outside you'll find seating and a BBQ fire pit. One dog welcome.
We were greeted by Howard on arrival, who showed us the facilities such as the drying room, a place where we can buy wood and charcoal for the fire pit, and a feeder where we could help ourselves to ice.
He then walked us to our pod and explained how the heating system worked etc and gave us some local recommendations for pubs, taxis companies etc. The pod we stayed in had absolutely everything we needed and more, we had some complimentary tea bags, coffee and some fresh crumpets were on the bench on our arrival with some miniature jams and butter in the fridge as well as a little bottle of milk.
The pod was extremely clean and had some lovely décor, a big double bed with some extra bedding underneath if we needed it. The pod came with a smart TV too, which was nice. The bathroom was actually a lot bigger than expected too, with a fairly big shower cubicle in it
Will 100% be returning to this site, absolutely exceptional service and value for money.

Pod - Pods (Pet Free)Sep 2023
Absolutely perfect. The attention to detail Carol and Howard apply to ensure you have the perfect break is obvious from the second you arrive.
The pods are well equipped, immaculately clean and have everything you could possibly wish for. Stunning views simply add to the overall experience.
Too many additional little touches to list them all. Safe to say you won't be disappointed if paying this place a visit.
We were with two other family members who equally enjoyed the experience.
Our first glamping break, but it certainly won't be the last.

Pod - Pods (Pet Free)Aug 2023
The hosts, Carol and Howard, are so friendly and professional in their whole approach to this wonderful boutique dedicated glamping site; think Radisson Blue meets glamping.
The pods are high tech and use state of the art construction including internal equipment and facilities. You will want for nothing. The site is exquisitely located and quiet - very relaxing. Plenty of space for two with every convenience you will need.
