Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024
We booked for 1 night whilst in Devon with my husband, our four children (aged between 8 and 15) and two dogs.
Location, wow, the location is brilliant and the views are stunning! The sunset and sunrise was picturesque. The facilities, by far has the best toilets we have ever used/seen on a campsite, very clean and well maintained. They have showers which have hot running water, a wash up area for dishes/clothes and a cute old phone box which has been made into a nook of goodies where you can buy eggs, fire wood, necessities, as well as borrowing books & games.
There is a fire pit with surrounding seating for all to use, as well as a tree swing and plenty of benches to use dotted around. Our pitch, the ground was nice and flat, making it perfect for pitching and there was plenty of space between pitches. We had an 8 man bell tent, as well as our 7 seater parked next to our tent, with plenty of room between.
Cleanliness, the site is very well maintained and very clean. They also have recycling bins there. The only downside, which isn't the camp's fault is the pylon. Definitely a bargain for what you get and we would definitely stay again for a peaceful break.
