About the site

The site is nestled at the top of a hillside meadow in the Quantock Hills National Landscape (AONB), offering countryside views, sunsets, and dark skies. Walkers, hikers, and cyclists are well placed to explore Exmoor National Park, just 20 minutes away, for panoramic moorlands, coastal woodlands, wildlife, and the South West Coast Path (Britain's longest National Trail). Onsite, guests will find three shepherd's huts, Romney, Jack, and Herdwick, each equipped with a double pull-out bed and a day bed that can be made into a small child's bed with rails. Interiors include a well equipped kitchenette, ensuite, and woodburner, along with plenty of cushions, throws, and bedding and towels are provided. The huts also come stocked with books, board games, and puzzles. Enjoy your own decking with an electric hot tub, outdoor seating, and a fire pit with tripod and grill, ideal for dinner al fresco. Guests will be supplied with two bags of logs and a bag of kindling for free, subsequent bags can be purchased for a small fee. Charcoal for the BBQ is available to pre-order from the site. A locally sourced breakfast hamper is also provided on arrival, and further meals can be added upon request. For days out, Taunton is a 25 minute drive, home to the Somerset Museum, while Kilve Beach is just 30 minutes away for a coastal escape. There is a holiday cottage and a treehouse onsite. Sorry, the accommodation is pet-free. Campfires and BBQs are permitted in the fire pit provided outside each of the huts.
