About the site

Set on the edge of Lode in Cambridgeshire, this small, family friendly site is surrounded by trees, open skies, and wide green spaces. Guests stay in one of three handcrafted shepherd's huts, each featuring a private hot tub and an ensuite bathroom with underfloor heating. Inside, you'll find a double bed, a twin bed, and a well equipped kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave oven. A communal pizza oven is available, and there are also communal indoor and outdoor social areas. The site is just a 25 minute drive to the historic city of Cambridge, where you can enjoy punting on the River Cam or explore the famous colleges and museums. Newmarket, just 15 minutes away and known as the home of British horse racing. Or, bring your bikes and ride to Wicken Fen Nature Reserve, 25 minutes from the site. Around the site, you'll find a welcoming communal BBQ area and fire pits, ideal for evening gatherings under the stars. Dogs are welcome!

All huts have an ensuite toilet and shower with underfloor heating. There is also a communal BBQ, pizza oven, and fire pit area for cooking or sitting around in the evenings. Guests will also find a communal building with indoor seating and a pool table.

Kids will enjoy the outside play area with swings and big tires! WiFi is available throughout the site.

Your closest pub is Pattaya Kitchen at The Shed, less than a 15 minute walk. For those everyday shopping essentials, Nisa is a five minute drive.

Anglesey Abbey, a Jacobean-style house with a working watermill, is just a short five minute drive away.

Milton Country Park is a 15 minute drive from the site and offers 95 acres of woodlands and wetlands, with several scenic walking, fishing, and cycling paths to explore. Kids will enjoy South Angle Farm Park, a 25 minute drive away, an interactive farming spot with plenty of opportunities to meet and feed friendly animals, including chickens, ducks, alpacas, horses, and more.

History lovers will enjoy the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences, a 25 minute drive away, filled with rocks, fossils, and preserved creatures, some of which were donated by Charles Darwin. Or, take a half hour trip to visit Oliver Cromwell's house.
