About Trenance Holiday Park

This is a traditional, friendly and welcoming site, personally run by the Hoyte family for three generations. Situated within the Trenance Valley area of Newquay, it offers unrivalled access to the town and beaches - just a 15 minute walk away and without the parking hassle! The park attracts families and couples and is proud of its high percentage of repeat bookings. Groups aren't allowed. Camping and touring pitches all offer electric hook-up, are at least 7m square and provide parking alongside. Pitches are a mix of flat and gently sloping areas of free draining grass. There are even premium pitches which offer electric, water and TV connections. A set of attractive camping pods are available to hire, offering two single beds and double doors out onto a private patio. Inside you'll have all the shelter and insulation you need There is also a selection of 4-6 berth bungalow style chalets (including a wheelchair accessible option with full wet room), and 2-6 berth static caravans.

Camping, touring and pods are available from early April until late September. Caravans and chalets are available slightly longer, until early October.

Accordingly we check not only the availability of requested accommodation but also party make-up before confirmation of any booking is made.

In the interests of all visitors dogs are not permitted in our accommodation or on our pitches.

BBQs are welcome provided they are placed on a slab to protect the grass.

Caravans and chalets are available from 3.30pm on arrival day and check-out time is 10:30am on departure day.

Camping and touring pitches may be occupied from 2pm and must be vacated by 12 noon on departure day.

From origins as a sleepy fishing village, Newquay is now one of the UK's most popular destinations, with beautiful beaches and some of the finest surfing in Europe. Boardmasters is Europe's biggest surfing and music festival - the Boardmasters which runs early August.

The site is alongside the beautiful 26 acre Trenance Leisure Park, with its award winning zoo and other attractions including boating lake, Waterworld swimming pool, tennis centre, skate park, cafes, bowling green, pitch and putt course, play area, and riding stables.

Trenance Valley is one the prettiest parts of Newquay. The valley ends at the tidal River Gannel estuary, which is a haven for wild birds and is great for canoeing. There's also a lovely coastal walk alongside the estuary which reaches the sea at the fabulous Crantock Beach.

The many beaches are all within walking distance: Porth, Lusty Glaze, Tolcarne, Great Western, Towan and the famous Fistral Beach. Each has its own characteristics, but why not treat the family to surfing lessons, or join one of the many boats that regularly leave the harbour on fishing trips? The more adventurous might like to try coasteering, zip wiring or jet skiing - all are readily available.

Other local attractions include:

  • Blue Reed Aquarium
  • Dairyland
  • Springfields Fun Park
  • Lappa Valley Railway
  • Pirates Quest
  • Healey's Cyder Farm

Newquay is also a good base for exploring Cornwall by car, train or coach - and nowhere is too far away.

Walkers will find that the South West Coast Path is easily accessible.
