You couldn't be better positioned for the world-famous Lost Gardens of Heligan, simply stroll through the gate onsite and get lost in their beauty. Guests staying at the site are eligible for an exclusive discount, plus your dog is welcome to join you. This perfectly placed campsite is ideal for hitting the reset button on hectic daily life, recharging your batteries in the peace and tranquility, and finding solace in the natural surrounds. Kids love the family friendly atmosphere and get stuck into looking for birds, bees and bugs around the park. The camping and touring pitches are well maintained, surrounded by attractive shrubs and wild flowers with fantastic views to the Cornish coast. Water points can be found around the park and electric is available on many pitches. For tourers, gravel hardstanding pitches are provided. Nestled below ancient trees and flowering foliage, the park has a selection of spacious two and three bedroom holiday homes, each with a balcony or veranda. These are fully equipped with all the home comforts and wheel chair friendly options are also available, plus dogs are welcome in some of these too.

Facilities and amenities

The modern and heated amenity block includes showers, toilets, dog shower and drying room plus there's an onsite launderette. There's also numerous dog walks nearby and the children's play area is perfect for little ones. You can get all your essentials from the well-stocked shop on site. Guests also have access to the facilities at the park's sister site, Pentewan Sands, which has a private beach with a watersports centre, a small supermarket shop selling fresh bakery goodies and a top of the range indoor pool inside The Seahorse (charges apply).

The Crown Inn is just 1.5 miles from site or there are more in Mevagissey, two miles from site. Pentewan Beach is just a seven minute drive.

Site rules and policies

This is a family and dog-friendly campsite.

Camping and touring guests are welcome to check-in between 12pm - 8pm and must check out by 10:30am on departure day

All bookings for one week or more are subject to a booking fee and cancellation fee. Holiday homes will be charged a booking fee of £8.25 and a cancellation fee of £14.00 per week. Camping and touring pitches will be charged a booking fee of £8.25 and a cancellation fee of £7.50 per week.

Things to do on site and in the Pentewan area

Set on the south coast of Cornwall, the site is surrounded by gorgeous beaches, the only difficulty will be choosing which to visit. There are seasonal dog bans in operation on some so please check before visiting.

For those keen to lace up their boots and get walking, there are plenty of fabulous trails and footpaths accessible directly from the site as well as cycle ways and an entrance to the world-renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan, for which guests receive an exclusive discount.

Head to the pretty fishing village of Mevagissey for a taste of Cornwall. Wander through the narrow alleyways, browse gift shops and art galleries before indulging in a tempting Cornish pasty.

And if action is your thing, head down to the sister site, Pentewan Sands Holiday Park, where you can get active with all manner of activities from surfing to sailing, water skiing and kayaking.

However, you may find that sitting with a book, relaxing and soaking up the peaceful Cornish countryside is a more preferable way to spend your break.
