About the site
Trewan has been run by the Hill family for over 50 years, set between Newquay and Padstow. The campsite is 4 miles from the North Cornwall coast, 6 miles east of Newquay and a short walk from the Cornish town of St Columb Major.
The site has 36 acres of woods and grounds surrounding the old stone mansion of Trewan Hall. The camping grounds and amenities are perfectly integrated into the estate and are designed to blend into their surroundings.
Tents, caravans and motorhomes find their own pitch on one of two fields, with one (Calves Close field) offering electric points.
The Barn Park field is smaller and more family orientated, set close to the shop, barns and play park, while Calves Close is a larger electric field with plenty of space and an away from it all atmosphere.
Pitches are not allocated, so you can choose your own.
Families and couples are welcome to share the quiet atmosphere of Trewan in the low season and the excited holiday feeling during the busier high season.

A note from the site themselves...
Trewan has been run by the Hill family for nearly 60 years and has become a firm favourite for generations of campers. It's one of those places that enjoys a truly unique atmosphere, where you feel completely immersed in the natural surroundings and the steeped history.
Trewan is lucky to welcome back familiar faces year after year, but are always excited to share the place with those that have found the campsite for the first time. It really is one of those places that once found, nowhere else can compare with.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024
Great campsite in a great location. Great facilities, large pool and playing field, onsite shop. Toilet block and showers were clean and unlike other campsites we have been to previously, we never found ourselves having to queue for either.
We were a group of 16 made up of 4 families, we liked that you could pitch wherever as it meant we could set up our tents in a way that gave us privacy from other campers.

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2024
We had such a lovely stay here this bank holiday weekend and can't believe that we haven't seen it sooner. We'd definitely go back.
The highlight for us was the pool as we love water and it was brilliant that it was open all day and you don't have to book specific times. The diving board was a great added extra for playing on. The staff were all friendly and polite, the site was well managed and we loved bat watching on the evenings. Some evenings, there was local entertainment which you can join in on or not, it's got the best of both worlds in a lovely, laid back manner.
Location wise, great location for beaches, surf, local attractions such as Camel's Creek theme park.
We really enjoyed our stay and happy we've found a gem of a campsite to return to.
