The gravel pitches are suitable for tents, trailer tents, roof tents, single and twin axle caravans, campervans, motorhomes and RVs. For those bringing tents, rock pegs are advised. The hardstanding pitches are suitable for all of the above except for tents. They also have a grassed area next to the pitch. Pup tents, awnings and gazebos are allowed at all of the pitches and there is space to park. For those hoping to leave their tent behind, there are four camping pods to choose from. The two-person camping pod has a king-size bed, while the four-person camping pod has wraparound seating that converts into one double and two single sleeping platforms. Inside all of the camping pods is electric, lighting and a small heater. Outside is a fire pit and parking space. Guests have access to shared facilities. If you're after a little more luxury, the Mega ensuite glamping pods sleep four guests with a double bed and double sofa bed. Inside is underfloor heating, a fully equipped kitchen with a hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave, dishwasher, crockery and cutlery, as well as a TV and ensuite bathroom. For both the camping and glamping pods, please make sure to bring your own bedding and towels along. There are also a range of static caravans onsite. The onsite ice cream serves up a range of delicious treats from homemade ice cream to waffles and cappuccinos! Haverigg is also just a ten minute walk if you're hoping to go for an early morning sea swim or enjoy some evening fish and chips! If you're after dinner al fresco, BBQs are permitted, please just make sure they are raised off the ground. Open fires are allowed in raised fire pits. The site is great for dogs, with doggy ice cream available, a dog wash, and a dog friendly beach nearby!

A note from the site themselves...

In early 2015 we came up with the wonderful idea of a campsite in the small village of Haverigg. We had a five-acre field that was right next to the beach and just a short walk from this lovely village and we felt it would be the ideal place for a holiday!

Alongside my day job at the local static caravan park, I obtained all the necessary planning permission and set to work making the site we had dreamed of. Let's just say the rest is history! We can't wait to meet you and hope you love Haverigg as much as we do - we're sure you won't be disappointed!

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2025

Harbour Lights was a lovely site, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The site was clean and tidy and the toilets and showers were kept really clean and well maintained. I don't have anything bad to report really about the site itself. In terms of the location, there isn't really much to do, especially if the weather is bad. We arrived on a windy & rainy day and spent most of our time in our camper, which is absolutely fine, we do go away to relax and not do very much. However, on the 2nd day, the wind was so bad, we decided to go for a walk into Millom, to have a look around the shops and maybe stop off at a café or a pub or two. When we arrived in the town, there wasn't much open and it was Saturday afternoon. We managed to get a seat in one local eatery and then headed straight back to camp, as there was nothing else there. On the Sunday, we did go for a walk along the front but that was all there was to do. There is a Ski Bar on a neighbouring caravan site which you can go to, but when we arrived on the first day, it was packed and not a table in sight. On the 2nd attempt, all of the tables were reserved. Nothing was happening on the water on the one nice day we had, so that was a bit of surprise too. All in all, the site is lovely if you just want to sit outside of your tent/caravan/camper and maybe just a walk on the beach. The site is really lovely just not a place we would visit again as we like to have a few walks and then a few options for food and drinks too.

Lovely stay!
