Great little site

We had a great time at this little site. Everything was clean

Excellent

Fantastic site, kept absolutely immaculate the grass is like a putting green! Excellent facilities again immaculately kept and well stocked with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Great location not too far from many locations, just a short 20 minute drive to Bowness and Windermere. The Crooklands hotel is just opposite the site and does great food. Nice canal just outside for a walk. We will 100% be back. Can't recommend it enough.

Just beautiful

This site was a real find, it's just beautiful and we will return. The facilities are lovely and clean, the tent area block was very new and had so many nice touches - shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, even nail files, cotton wool ball and cotton buds. There's a hairdryer in there too. The pitches were very good, owners offered us extension leads should we have needed them for the electric hook up. The owners went above and beyond for us when we got stuck without a way to blow the tent up by bringing their own car round so we could plug into their 12 Amp, saved our trip! Can't wait to go back again.

Best campsite ever been too

A hidden gem

We feel we've found a hidden gem with this beautiful campsite and will definitely be paying a return visit. Found a new friend with a lovely 84 year old gentleman called Tom who was camping for the first time with his dog, Loui...and he couldn't have picked a better site for his first-time camping experience. The facilities are the best we've ever come across whilst camping. The site owner, Paul, works incredibly hard to ensure everything's as it should be and the site is a credit to him. The Lancaster Canal runs alongside the site and has a beautiful tow path with lots of wildlife to see, including swans, ducks....and even cows cooling off in the water. The Crosslands Hotel is just across the road where they serve delicious meals - but be sure to book as it's very popular every night of the week.

Amazing place

First time visiting this lovely site and definitely won't be our last. Paul was so helpful from the moment of booking by sending us a confirmation email and directions on how to get there and lots of great information about the site. The toilets and shower's were absolutely beautiful and spotless. Location quiet with a great pub 5 mins away and great size pitches. We had really enjoyed our mini break away here. We will definitely be booking again. Everything you need and more in a beautiful location and the host Paul was super helpful and couldn't do enough for you to ensure an enjoyable stay. Thanks again Paul we will be back soon to your amazing Little Acres site very soon.

Time to relax

Fabulous site. Lots of care & attention to site. Toilets and showers immaculate. Greeting & service whilst there was 2nd to none. 10/10. Nice surprise with daily visit from ice cream van. Lovely pub very near. Shame you need to book so early in advance & they have no ready made sandwiches or toasties to offer. Would definitely book this site again, just great & we were lucky we had lovely neighbours. All dog friendly, fabulous 💕

Luxury facilities

Really nice facilities, luxury toilets and showers (however you need 20ps for the showers), next to the canal and across the road from a lovely pub. The woman who showed us our pitch was really lovely and welcoming!

Amazing campsite

Lovely campsite. Owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. Campsite was quite and well maintained, with a new shower block, even though you pay 20p for shower it was worth it and 3 mins is enough. Lovely pub within 2 mins walking, please make sure you book as it's very popular. Campsite give you the phone number when you book. All in all will defo go back, thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely quiet site

Lovely quiet site. Obviously well run. Easy booking and check in. Help with obtaining power. Nice modern toilet shower block. A mirror in all the toilet cubicles would be a good idea.

Excellent site

We returned here travelling back South from having been in Keswick. A super little site and would highly recommend it as a base to explore the southern end of the lakes.

Absolutely perfect stay en route from Brighton to Scotland. Just off the M6. Friendly welcome. Brilliant food at the pub across the road. The poshest wash block I've seen in years 😎

Fab site

Lovely site, small and quiet. Right next to M6. Fab walk across the road, along the toll path. Would of liked to have explored more. Best toilets and shower ever!

Fantastic! Simply fantastic.

Without a doubt the cleanest site with beautiful clean facilities. Paul was super friendly and welcoming. The Crooklands pub 2 mins walk is also a lovely establishment. Close drive to Kirkby Longsdale and 30 from the south lakes. We will definitely stay again soon. Many thanks Christian and Jenny.

Electric pitch

Excellent site, very clean and easy to find. We will be back in the future. Friendly owner, near two pubs and the facilities are immaculate.

Very nice one night stay

Great to get away for a night. Easy to get to off of the M6 and a small quiet campsite.

Little Gem

We were diving with friends at Capenwray and stayed overnight. Excellent site with hotel standard facilities. The Camping field isn't flat but it's obvious to see why this site consistently scores high and picks up awards. I would happily recommend to friends and stay again in the future.
