Little Acre Holiday Park is just a 15 minute drive from the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. This dog friendly touring park offers electric hardstanding pitches for caravans, motorhomes, campervans and roof tents, all located adjacent to the Lancaster Canal. Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale are close by and accessible by a bus stop 100m away. The Crooklands Hotel pub is also within a two minute walk (booking recommended).

Our first visit to this site, booked last minute to take advantage of the weather. Quite a small site with just over 30 pitches. The site is immaculate. The hard standings are very clean and the grassed areas are well kept. There was one service block open which was mixed. The standard of the showers and toilets are the best that we have encountered. Very nice location around 5 minutes from M6 motorway. Adjacent to the Lancaster Canal which had an excellent path for walking. The very popular Crooklands Pub/Hotel/ Restaurant is literally 3 minutes walk from the site. Excellent Wi-Fi. Very dog friendly.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your stroll along the Lancaster Canal towpath - during the Winter, the Towpath has been improved enormously and we now have a flat, hard packed (I think that scrap slate was used) path for people & pooches to enjoy that runs for approx 5mm in either direction from our main entrance. What a great site. Well maintained, amenities fantastic and clean, good walking along the canal path and a pub opposite. Friendly owners - what more can you ask for? Will definitely be back, providing we will be able to get a pitch.

Owner met upon arrival friendly as explained where things were. It's a small site and very well kept. Perfect location to M6 and we just needed somewhere for one night to break our journey up. My only bigger is there being no washing up sinks. This could be attached to the amenity wall outside and have a canopy over. Something we see a lot abroad. The canal is across the road and great for walking the dog in our case.

The good news is that we do have a washing up area (with laundry facilities as well), in the other amenity block, which is very popular this time of year as the underfloor heating keeps it comfortably warm all the time. A great welcome email giving clean instructions of how to arrive without any misleading sat-navs. We are at the local pub and were glad that the site had advised we book ahead as many people were turned away. Lovely level pitches, good internet and very clean and nice smelling facilities. Staff were friendly. We would definitely return. Also, great very close walks along the canal.

Friendly welcome and well kept site. Excellent shower and toilet facilities. Spotless. Great location for walks, and a 1 minute walk to the pub. Definitely on the list for regular visits.

For our first night camping, it was an absolutely amazing site. The showers/toilets were so clean spotless, it was like a home from home. Lovely staff, I will definitely be back, thank you so much.

Everything was perfect for our stay, it was very easy to book and stay. The facilities were very clean and well maintained, with some extra touches. It was perfect for us, but can imagine more showers and toilets would be advantageous in high season. The restaurant over the road had great food but you do need to book.

Nice site and convenient for the motorway but faraway enough for it not to be a noise problem. The staff are friendly, welcoming and quick to advise of local walks, pub etc. The toilet facilities are immaculate and modern, as a bonus for us travelling in November they were heated. The pitches are level, they had water and electric located next to them. The Wi-Fi was excellent we were even able to watch YouTube videos. Very pleased with this find and would definitely use again.

Had the most amazing stay again at Little Acre Holiday Park. It is five star quality and the facilities are amazing, very powerful showers and clean. The location is central and close to places of interest and there's a lovely canal walk on your doorstop. Paul and his wife are very accommodating and friendly giving good recommendations on the area. We can't wait to visit again, see you both soon. Love Chloe and Jevon x

A great small site, conveniently placed, with the most fantastic 'hotel like' facilities. We used this as an overnight stop over but we made the most of it, the Lancaster Canal and the fantastic Crooklands Inn, were just outside the site. The owners were really welcoming and helpful. The showers and toilets were the most immaculate we have experienced and recommend highly. They were clean, fresh and had complimentary toiletries. I enjoyed it all, I didn't use the nail files! Excellent.

Lovely, small site and conveniently located just off the M6. The recently opened facilities are excellent. The only downside was that there was quite a lot of noise from the nearby road.

Great little site, a chanced upon trip down south. A few minutes off the M6. It's a lovely site, in pretty countryside and right next to the canal walk. It was super for dog walks. There was a beautiful new shower block, you need 20p for 3 minutes, but well worth it for a very nice waterfall type shower. Even the older shower block was nice and very clean. Definitely hoping to visit again.

On arrival was welcomed by Paul and Sarah who showed us to our pitch and explained all the facilities. Site was spotless, location perfect for our first trip. Located next to the canal, perfect for walking the dogs. Would highly recommend and looking forward to returning in 2025.

Gorgeous little campsite. Probably the cleanest campsite we have stayed on! Owner was super friendly. Pub was 2 seconds walk away and nice food. Nice walks along the canal. All basic facilities you need when travelling in a motorhome.

A brilliant little site, close to the M6. The owners are so welcoming and the site is immaculate. Yes the showers are 20p for 3 mins, but they are so worth it. The showers have lovely hot water and they are super clean, if you forget your toiletries there are plenty available. Would highly recommend to dog owners too, it's literally a 1 min walk to the canal path which goes for miles. The pub across the road is dog friendly and the food is great. Would highly recommend and we will be back.

What a beautiful little site this is, everything was spotless and perfect. A lovely email beforehand, explaining everything and a very friendly and warm welcome when we arrived. A bonus was that the tow path beside the Lancashire canal is less than a minute away. We will definitely be back, thank you.
