Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely, immaculately kept site. Facilities both comprehensive and generous, plenty of spotless showers, loos and sinks.
Reasonably priced bar on site and food trucks each of the nights we were there. Didn't see/hear any young noisy groups. Will be back.
A weekend break in May
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2026 Great bar area and a nice idea to be able to eat any food bought at the food van in the bar with draught beer.
Food van pies excellent and a bonus. It was May so quieter than I expect in summer with children. No screening between pitches which we like. I expect it’s very busy high season. Not far from Bakewell which you can walk to.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2026 Great location, just over a mile direct walk from Bakewell, 1.5 mile walk from the Mondale trail which is via road walking (pavement all the way) through the Thornbridge Estate. That would give you around a nice 5 mile walk from Bakewell.
Greenhills is amazingly clean, neat and tidy. This was our first visit and we will be back again for sure. Great on site bar, food trucks come in and offer lots of options.

Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches May 2026 Lovely little site which had a nice little bar that is open in peak season. Everything was clean and well maintained.
Noisy pitch
Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches May 2026 When I booked, it did ask if I had any requests, so I added that we would like a quiet pitch as we are a couple in our 60s. We were given a pitch closest to the pub and kids playground.
Some kids were throwing stones from the playground and just missed us and landed in our awning. We had to keep our door zipped after that. Our pitch was more suited to families that could just let their children play on the park and could keep a eye on them.
It's a big site so I don't understand why we were put there. Apart from this, it is a lovely site near Bakewell and the facilities were spot on.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 We only stayed two nights as we were attending a gig at the local brewery which was within walking distance. Very friendly helpful staff. Everywhere was very clean and tidy. We didn't use the Stable bar but it did look lovely inside and lots of tables outside. Would have wanted a better stocked shop on site.

Great family holiday site
Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Apr 2026 Warm welcome from reception. Site clean, especially the toilet and shower facilities. Showers pleasant hot water. Good space around caravan.
Not a large site so quiet living area and close to facilities. Great on-site pub that was buzzing. Kids play area immediately outside with plenty of seating. Pay to play game area with pool and football tables. Bank holiday weekend had pizza van and pie van, pies were lush! Bakewell with eateries nearby. Buxton only 30 mins away, enjoyed park and Indoor market. 20 mins or so enjoyed Gulliver's Kingdom. Peak shopping place only 15 mins away. 5 mins away, a cheap fuel station and Aldi.
Only improvement is a bit of TLC needed to the outdoor maintenance of site.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding Pitches Mar 2026 The whole site was exceptionally clean 24 hours a day. Shower blocks very clean. Nice onsite bar and pop up meal vans in the evenings.
First site with our campervan

The pitch and surrounding areas were all very well looked after. It's a short walk to nearby village and bus stop at end of the road. Plenty of walks from the site. Our stop was out of the main season, so I imagine it gets very populated in the summer as there is a bar on site and children's play park / games room.
