VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 We loved this peaceful site and the easy access to walks for the dogs. The facilities were very good for the money. We enjoyed a tasty pizza on our first night which was easy to order from reception. We stayed here as a stop over on our way up to Northumbria and liked it so much that we stopped for a second night on our way back home.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 Absolutely fantastic campsite! 🌿 Everything was spotless, from the proper showers and toilets to the peaceful, quiet pitches. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the on-site pizzas were a real treat. Just a short stroll to charming local pubs and ice cream spots, with endless beautiful walks and hikes right on the doorstep. Perfect mix of comfort, nature, and convenience – can’t wait to come back!
Electric hook up
Trailer Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 For the amount of people onsite, I would say it needs a few more washing up areas and toilets.
The only thing I can say that let this site down was the people camping, had to complain due to someone turning up at 9:15pm at night and when the time was 10pm quiet time, they were still slamming doors and using headlights to set up their tent until well after midnight. They owner did have a word in the morning, then it was dogs running round loose, glad to be home now.
It was the campers not giving a hoot about the rules. Such a shame as it would have been a nice, quiet break.
Great short break with young children
Large Tent - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 A great site for us to take our grandchildren for their first camping experience. They loved it and would like to come back. Lots of space for them to play and safe for them to learn some independence

Very helpful staff, and beautiful pizzas which we had on our second night.
Lovely Setting-Friendly Site
Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Aug 2025 A lovely site, easily accessible but remote enough to switch off and feel away from the day-to-day. Check-in was easy and staff very pleasant and helpful. Large camping fields sited within close walking proximity to a central wash house and toilet block. The site was quiet despite many tents pitched as the space allows for pitches to remain well spaced. The kids enjoyed the space and seeing some farm machinery and sheep up close. Bring games, no playpark or specific children centred activities, though the space allows for plenty of running around and hills to roll down! There is a small shop and vending machine. They also offer breakfast barms and pizza to order for collection at the reception. A great value site, compared with other sites locally. Would return, happy to recommend.

BUT camping at Knotlow has converted me!
Great pitch size, clean toilets and showers, quiet, beautiful, and tasty pizza and breakfast available!
Kids enjoyed seeing the cows in the barn and the sheep on the hills.
100% reccomend!

We were expecting it to be heaving in the summer holidays, but we were pleasantly surprised. Lots of different feilds so campers where spread out and there was loads of space for the children to run around. Really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely marvellous
Glamping Pod - Glamping Pods with Hot Tubs (Adult Only) Aug 2025 it is the first time that we have stayed in glamping pod and it was better than expected. The pod was clean and the hot tub was very welcome. Very private and the facilities were great.
The welcome at reception was very good.
We would definitely recommend.
The campsite also looks good and we would consider camping there as the facilities are clean.

Great site - avoid weekends though
Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent Pitches (Adult Only) Aug 2025 I arrived on Wednesday and the site was virtually empty so I had plenty of pitches to choose from. Quite a lot of the site is on a slope. Views amazing whichever way you look.
Toilet facilities are superb. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot water. The 20p shower system works really well. The toilet area is a bit of a trek from some parts of the site but there is parking in front of the facilities so you can always drive down. Owners lovely and welcoming.
Croissants for breakfast one day and a pizza one evening - Both delicious and a welcome option. Site filled up a lot on Friday and the noise levels increased significantly - especially as someone in the electric hook up field was playing music (not particularly loudly and it did stop by 10pm) but the loud bass was drowning out the birdsong. I would definitely use this site again Monday to Thursday but avoid weekend camping.
It's in a great location for exploring the Peak District.

Loved the amenities such as pizza available for takeaway and bbqs to rent.

Great location for Buxton, Bakewell and Monyash with some fantastic walking straight off the site. But be warned - you might find it very noisy if planes are using a particular approach for (relatively nearby) Manchester Airport. We were kept awake for two nights straight by planes taking off and landing - a cacophony of flaps up and down, wind drag, and jet engines revving up and down.
Facilities (showers etc) are decent, but could use some extra sinks in the ladies. Probably wouldn't come again because of the potential overnight noise issue, but ok if you know what you're getting into.

The staff could not be more helpful, the site is lovely and the facilities spotless.
So handy having fresh pizza and breakfast sandwiches available too, so no need to cook.

Great pub in the local village which was a 40 minute walk cross country.
Lovely small and friendly site
Large Tent - Non Electric Grass Pitches (Family Friendly) Jul 2025 This is a lovely small campsite on a working farm.
The family field was well separated from the other sections so it felt like a lovely safe place to let the kids run free. Staff were friendly and the facilities were very clean and plenty for the site.
The only issue was the noise from the planes going overhead throughout the night, if you're a light sleeper it's quite disturbing.
